- cambrown99, on 10/28/2007, -3/+73Imagine what it's gonna be like when Super Mario Galaxy hits in a couple of weeks...
Now imagine what it's gonna be like when Smash Bros. hits in a couple of months... - Noelix, on 10/29/2007, -3/+36ok I'll do it since noone else will:

http://www.videogamesblogger.com/wp-content/upload ... - xXGeechXx, on 10/28/2007, -1/+33I think the most amazing part about this is its still pretty difficult to get a Wii and they haven't even hit us with very many AAA games yet...
Its only looking better for Nintendo. - KingGoonie, on 10/29/2007, -9/+40Actually the Halo franchise, including obvioulsy the last one, is the most overhyped thing out there. Wii is well deserving of all the hype.
- inactive, on 10/28/2007, -0/+29It prints vast amounts of currency!
- kinerry, on 10/28/2007, -2/+26I've made 200% on my stocks this year with Nintendo alone...
- totorototoro, on 10/28/2007, -2/+23Nothing like actually selling gaming hardware for a profit to...you know...make a profit :p
- tcasey22, on 10/27/2007, -3/+22That day will never be over.
- shortarabguy, on 10/28/2007, -0/+16The story would make more sense if you replaced "Guys" with "Mom, Dad..." and "but" with "buy".
- silverwolfe, on 10/28/2007, -0/+15I'm sure the profits are so high because they sell the Wii for profit. Sell 10 million consoles at even a $15 profit and you make $150,000,000 and that's not counting DS or game sales.
- ringworm, on 10/28/2007, -1/+16I don't think they got rid of Rare because they needed money...
- Shorties, on 10/28/2007, -3/+17I will forever kick myself for not buying nintendo stock when it was down to about $15 a share (The day Iwatta held up that black box still called the revolution) I knew the DS was amazing, and I knew nintendo would make their home console just as revolutionary. I was too young (Or at least I felt like I was) to buy stock then , but if this were today (Now that I actually do have some stocks) I would of bought $1000 of nintendo.
- totorototoro, on 10/28/2007, -2/+16Lets see you do it :p
- badassninja, on 10/28/2007, -2/+16Money out the ass.
Microsoft can try to tap into the casual gamer, but no 30 year old women is ever going to buy a X360 let alone even pick up the controller. - badassninja, on 10/28/2007, -0/+13LOL. If most people wait as long as you do for the price of the PS3 to drop then the PS3 will flop and there will not be much for games.
And I agree. Both the 360 and the Wii are going to sell like crazy this Christmas season. - Criftus, on 10/28/2007, -0/+11Not surprised at all by this. As far as I'm concerned Nintendo did the impossible a few weeks ago when they persuaded my parents to buy a Nintendo console ... for themselves. I'm still in shock. =P
- inactive, on 10/28/2007, -5/+16Hopefully other console manufacturers will realise the days of sitting in a dark bedroom huddled over a sweaty joypad are over!
- Mrstupid7, on 10/29/2007, -1/+12So did you just turn 16?
- Mrstupid7, on 10/28/2007, -4/+15I've been playing Halo since like 1998. It's a generic FPS. Duel wielding, vehicles, voice chat, and game matching have been around for a LONG time.
- Laxaloot, on 10/29/2007, -1/+12the gamecube had wifi and bluetooth? holy ***** I wish I got that version.
- nobleexperiment, on 10/28/2007, -1/+11For every coin Mario collects or rupee Link gathers, a nintendo shareholder is enjoying his or her dividends.
- Arnold84, on 10/29/2007, -2/+12Are you 12?
- Marcateyou, on 10/28/2007, -2/+12I wonder if they can buy back Rareware. :D
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/28/2007, -4/+13You may as well jump off a building...
- Mrstupid7, on 10/28/2007, -0/+9Yeah I think a lot of Rare's designers left before Nintendo sold them.
- Philbert, on 10/28/2007, -0/+9The Circuit City near me has had a "Wii temporarily sold out" sign on the door for months. I'm glad I waited outside for 4 hours to get mine on launch day. Even if I don't play it much.
- tech42er, on 10/28/2007, -0/+9Oh wow. Your parents must have "under-developed children's brains" which is why "this country is headed for idiocracy". Becvause if you don't like games full of sex, violence, and other "adult oriented *****", you must be such a kid!
/sarcasm
//I'm just mocking BabyWookie, what an ***** - TitaniumJackal, on 10/28/2007, -0/+9I wanted to buy stock! I waited in line for like 5 hours, and then they told us only the first 30 people in line were going to be able to buy a share.
- fantasticFlan, on 10/26/2007, -3/+11Do you play video games to be cool?
- slamm71, on 10/26/2007, -2/+10I imagine the amount of fun and happiness will trigger the apocalypse.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/28/2007, -1/+8People who want a simple animation. Google for it prints money gif
- daridave, on 10/26/2007, -2/+9Not surprised, yet I believe this is completely insane. It's true that those two titles is probably all that we will ever need for the next 8 months or so... but I want Zack & Wiki too, bad.
- tcasey22, on 10/26/2007, -1/+8They got a solid roster gearing up for the next few months, thank god they're finally releasing games that us gamers like to play rather than Cooking and Dancing Feet games.
- petebot, on 10/28/2007, -0/+7Me and my (over) 30 year old girlfriend will be picking up a 360 sometime in the next month. Though, to be fair, I would hardly call us casual gamers, we've just been milking the OG XBOX for all its worth. I am crazy excited for Mass Effect.
- NikoKun, on 10/28/2007, -0/+7yay for the lucky ones that bought stock before the DS and Wii
- inactive, on 10/28/2007, -0/+7Real Gamers are fat nerds who think playing a video game has something to do with your personal identity.
- tyho, on 10/28/2007, -4/+10Real gamers choose Nintendo.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/28/2007, -1/+7It's not too late. They keep revising profit forecasts upward.
- krd1979, on 10/28/2007, -0/+6That's awesome, and I think there are cases of that all over the place. My dad recently told me he's planning on buying one whenever my brother moves out and takes the Wii with him. I think my mom is sadly addicted to Wii Bowling and Rayman and she can't wait until Wii Fit comes out.
- twishart, on 10/28/2007, -0/+6I was also in shock when my mom played Wii Bowling. And bowled a perfect game.
- TitaniumJackal, on 10/28/2007, -1/+7...and they bury those dividend under bushes in their front yard, or sealed away in brick blocks.
- Philbert, on 10/28/2007, -0/+6One of the big selling points of the PS2 was the built in DVD player, at the time in Japan it was the cheapest way to get one. I think Sony was hoping that would happen again with Blu-ray, but the DVD to BR jump isn't nearly as significant as the VHS to DVD one was and the price is much more.
- parabiosis, on 10/29/2007, -0/+5would of = NO
would've = YES - Username314, on 10/28/2007, -0/+5OMGLINUXWOAH: That phrase cannot describe us gaming diggers any better.
- BlueSkyfish, on 10/28/2007, -0/+5Until an animated png format is standardized, we will continue to have no other option.
- nicko68, on 10/29/2007, -0/+5My wife and I are over 30 and we play Wii. We think the bowling is really fun. So there.
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -0/+4and the DS is *so* *so* *so* much more than a fad. You apparently haven't seen the DS's numbers...
edit: how great a device it is is another question - I'm just talking statistically. - sanman, on 10/28/2007, -0/+4Wii has the fastest growing install base, which means that most developers are diverting into making titles for it.
I wish there was some pure sword-&-sorcery action game where I could wave my wiimote around for some swordfighting fun. - inactive, on 10/28/2007, -1/+5Same can be said for people with Apple stock before the iMac and iPod and the iEverythingelse.
- Shaflugi, on 10/28/2007, -1/+5You don't HAVE to buy the ***** games.
