- GroundIsSound, on 03/25/2009, -4/+71sweet, now when do we get a new one for the wii?
- Irishsmurf, on 03/25/2009, -9/+60TRAINS
***** YEAH.
Those bad ***** go choo choo and *****. - phbohn2, on 03/25/2009, -1/+42this is definitely not the direction i was expecting zelda to go in...
- DKII, on 03/25/2009, -5/+41Whoa wasn't expecting a Zelda DS announcement, nice.
- RBobby, on 03/25/2009, -4/+36Zelda with Trains? WTF Nintendo.... Link in Train conductor gear looks retarded.
I don't want to be too judgmental, but for Pete's sake, give us a more serious DS Zelda game along the lines of Ocarina of Time or even Twilight Princess. Can't we JUST ONCE get a straightforward Zelda game like in the good old days? Enough with the gimmicks. - atomicpoet, on 03/25/2009, -6/+36You can never have too much Zelda.
- tehrich, on 03/25/2009, -1/+31I liked Phantom Hourglass except for having to return to that one dungeon over and over and over again.
- trixyfox, on 03/25/2009, -3/+31Please Nintendo
No Temple of the Ocean King or anything similar.
Thank you. - Hoagous, on 03/25/2009, -1/+27You don't like trains? Well excuuuuuuse me princess!
- inactive, on 03/25/2009, -2/+25Tell us more about your friends. Really everyone here totally gives a *****.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 03/25/2009, -1/+17Wait....... What new 2D Metroid?! I have seen no such announcement.
- inactive, on 03/25/2009, -4/+19OMG a new Zelda!!
- hiriumi, on 03/25/2009, -3/+18I love Zelda! But why not another title on Wii?
- Dacvak, on 03/25/2009, -4/+18I mean, it's Zelda so I'm pumped... But to be honest, I wasn't the biggest fan of Phantom Hourglass. It just wasn't a very challenging game and didn't keep my attention for more than a few days. I'm really hoping Spirit Tracks is a little more difficult, but I'm not holding my breath.
- inactive, on 03/25/2009, -1/+14Don't you dare ***** toy with me about a new 2d Metroid game, or I swear to God I will reach through the Internet and snap your neck.
- inactive, on 03/25/2009, -0/+13I'm not sold. The train looks like more boring sailing from the other Waker themed games. I want a real overworld where it would be cool to explore. Looks like a quick cash-in on the Phantom Hourglass engine.
- VipeNess, on 03/25/2009, -6/+18sweet; wish there was a new wii zelda
- JasonAdams13, on 03/25/2009, -2/+12I want to see the next one with Link traversing the land of Hyrule in a zeppelin. I can't be alone.
- GuitarHeroDenn, on 03/25/2009, -1/+10I searched Reddit. It's a fan remake of Metroid II, not a new Nintendo-made 2d Metroid.
- spiffyfitz, on 03/25/2009, -1/+9I'd love to see a huge, sprawling Zelda game that takes three times as long as OOT to complete. No silly sailing or train conducting themes throughout the game. Twilight Princess was great but I was left wanting so much more. Maybe a Master Quest where the game is twice as difficult. I just need something to add to the replay value besides Gold Skulltulas or Poes. I want a super gigantic epic adventure.
...That's probably not going to stop me from playing this new DS Zelda though. - TheKitchenSinkX, on 03/26/2009, -1/+8So he's on a train now?
Wtf?
I really wish this were a joke. Just...ugh. Trains? TRAINS? That's really goddamn Zelda all right. Last I knew we were still using swords and arrows, not bayonets. When we said we wanted future zelda, we didn't mean industrial revolution future. - mudsonjar, on 03/25/2009, -1/+8The screen shots are from joystick.com? Come on, if they are going to give credit to the website, at least show them a little respect and spell it correctly! (Joystiq.com)
- BomarJr, on 03/26/2009, -1/+7am i the only one that hates this concept of link as a train conductor??
- godzillaWax, on 03/25/2009, -0/+5You're absolutely right. That goddamn dungeon was one of the worst design decisions made in the last 10 years.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auAJGQqmfIs&fmt ... - Lanlost, on 03/25/2009, -1/+6The disciples play DS? I guess in 2007.
- inactive, on 03/25/2009, -3/+7I cringe.
- braineater2448, on 03/25/2009, -3/+7Woohoo! Not quite sure about the name, but its a new Zelda!
- MadHarvey, on 03/25/2009, -1/+5I hope its more Minish Cap and less Phantom hourglass.
- caddyalan, on 03/25/2009, -1/+5I like 2D Zelda games, but I was also hesitant about Phantom Hourglass. If the portable versions of this franchise are moving in different directions, then that's probably good. But the controls need to be precise and logical.
- inactive, on 03/25/2009, -4/+8WHISTLES GO WOO WOOO!!!!!!
- xtmno3, on 03/25/2009, -2/+6I just wish Nintendo would get away from the gimmicky controls for a few games. Having to use the stylus on everything pisses me off.
- Halsfield, on 03/26/2009, -0/+4 I'm glad they are trying something new, but what the hell does a train , even a spirit one, have to do with Link's world ? Give us more windwaker if you want to do something cool but dont ruin the legacy with something goofy like this. There are plenty of other paths to take.
- nmc9, on 03/25/2009, -4/+7I hated Phantom Hourglass at first, but it grew on me... and now I'm actually pretty excited about this one. Now, I would really love to see some news about Zelda Wii soon... fingers crossed that it's still chugging along in development.
- directrix13, on 03/25/2009, -2/+5I don't think you are together with everyone. While I personally didn't enjoy Phantom Hourglass much, and this doesn't look any better. I don't think it looks bad, by any means.
- acero47, on 03/26/2009, -1/+4Haven't they both had only one game?
- heavystone, on 03/26/2009, -0/+3Let me guess, you have to BLOW into the mic to use the fan thing...***** that. You end up looking like a total ass when sitting on the buss, train, boat when playing these games. Not to mention the lame "yell at the mic" gimmicks...PLEASE give us the option to just push a button as an alternative!
- Carrot1991, on 03/25/2009, -2/+5I understand that people want more of a 'good old fashioned Zelda'. However wasn't Twilight Princess just that? Let's not forget that the Wind Waker which was at first hated. Outsold that game completely. Plus, I wouldn't worry about this game being completely radical anyway. Seeing the fields opposed to the Sea and the gargantuan bosses gives me the feeling of Phantom Hourglass Style combined with a more 'console' Zelda feel.
Anyway, Can we all agree the music was awesome? - metroidragon, on 03/25/2009, -2/+5"Looks like a quick cash-in on the Phantom Hourglass engine."
That's pretty much what I was thinking. This is following with Nintendo's new mindset, Just like how they quite literally added almost nothing new to Animal Crossing City Folk, this game looks like it's using the exact same engine and many of the same models and textures. Although I love anything Zelda, I'm only cautiously optimistic about this new game. - Treshnell, on 03/25/2009, -2/+5I didn't really enjoy Phantom Hourglass...
I think, for handhelds, GBA had the best Zelda games. Zelda just didn't seem to work so well with a stylus. - Daemastrius, on 03/26/2009, -0/+3This comes as a giants kick in the pants to those in the dark recesses of the Internet who had thought that a steampunk LoZ game would be "THE MOST ***** BADASS, BALLS TO THE WALL AWSOME GAME EVER"
- Rockiroad278, on 03/26/2009, -0/+3Next... The Legend of Zelda: Mile High Club
- magusg, on 03/26/2009, -1/+4I really hope you can pimp the train like you could the ship in PH.
Sup dawg? I herd you like trains... - godzillaWax, on 03/25/2009, -2/+4Hope it's not ***** like Phantom Hourglass. Who knows, maybe they made the effort to make more than one dungeon this time.
- inactive, on 03/25/2009, -3/+5^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
That ***** was ***** up. - dent42, on 03/25/2009, -1/+3Sounds like you want a link to the past.
- nerdherder, on 03/26/2009, -2/+4We said we wanted future Zelda?
- inactive, on 03/25/2009, -1/+3Nintendo needs to update the Zelda formula, which hasn't changed much since Link to the Past. Adding sailing (or now trains) doesn't do much to break the "been there, done that" feeling I get when I play these games.
- inactive, on 03/25/2009, -2/+4Well honestly, I can't really think of the last time a Zelda title was really challenging. Maybe Oracle of Ages/Seasons.
