- ButchersBoy, on 11/28/2007, -4/+204If you haven't got a Wii then you haven't got Galaxy, and if you haven't got Galaxy you are missing out.
- Dreamscar, on 11/28/2007, -1/+108They sold over 680,000 DS's last week, that means more than 1 DS was sold every second last week! Insane!
- Superman007, on 11/28/2007, -3/+77Those are some amazing numbers in a two week timeframe.
- chingy1788, on 11/28/2007, -37/+110In other news PS3 selling 1 per month
- Dreamscar, on 11/28/2007, -3/+67No, Super Mario Galaxy, Trauma Center: New Blood, Zak and Wiki, Guitar Hero III, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles in the past month do
- dudefather, on 11/28/2007, -2/+60"Consumers are buying every game we can put into the system."
UNLEASH THE SHOVELWARE! - badassninja, on 11/28/2007, -11/+68Now your playing with power bitch.
- addiggt, on 07/06/2009, -1/+55Super Mario Galaxy.
- smackafiyah, on 11/28/2007, -0/+49I wish I was one of those 650,000 people :(
- feshmania, on 11/28/2007, -1/+46how have you NOT found someone to sell it to?
i think someone's embellishing - Nossie, on 11/28/2007, -1/+45you mean like the PS2? yes the PS2 had some fantastic titles.... but it must have had thousands upon thousands of *****
- thefirelane, on 11/28/2007, -0/+39"They aren't selling many in the UK because there are none on the bloody shelves"
I like that, is that like: "Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded" - ereg, on 11/28/2007, -4/+41And yet the ***** to be won't release Rock Band for the Wii
- betterth, on 11/28/2007, -0/+36Agreed, Nintendo is on fire.
- lowmagnet, on 11/28/2007, -2/+37The apostrophe does not mean "HERE COMES AN S!"
- doctordbx, on 11/28/2007, -0/+34I have a 360 but would definitely buy a Wii too.... if I could find one.
- BinaryFragger, on 11/28/2007, -2/+34Why would they purposely create a shortage when they're flying off store shelves? The more consoles they sell, the more profit they make.
And saturate the market? Look at the DS. It seems that *everyone* has one, yet they're still selling like crazy. I don't think Nintendo would object to everyone owning a Wii. In the 80s, everyone had a NES and that was a good thing for Nintendo.
Anyways, buried for calling the Wii a "flattened Gamecube" - inactive, on 11/28/2007, -5/+35You're an idiot.
- kjcdude, on 11/28/2007, -1/+291 Wii every 1.86 seconds.
- fishbeef33, on 11/28/2007, -2/+30Yes, it's for small children. Because any game that doesn't include splattering blood is for ages 8 and under only. Please.
- emjaymj, on 11/28/2007, -0/+26Actually it's for people with the wisdom to understand that violence and realism do not necessarily make a game fun nor mature.
- Lazymoon, on 11/28/2007, -1/+27I couldn't help but imagine the two guys from the "We would like to play" ads going around slapping people whilst saying that.
- doshindude, on 11/28/2007, -0/+25I'd like to see Wii sales when Brawl comes out if this is happening with Galaxy.
- josh1413, on 11/28/2007, -0/+23On my way home from Thanksgiving, I called about every Wal-Mart between Indianapolis IN and Springfield MO, and none of them had a Wii in stock.
Tip: Call Wal-Mart around 8am and 4pm every day. Those are the times when the FedEx truck comes to deliver Wii's. - killermk, on 11/28/2007, -0/+22This is freaking INSANE. I couldn't believe the number but DAMN. Looks like Nintendo has a gold mine.
- dinostabOMG, on 11/28/2007, -0/+19Thomas Jefferson was known to be up for a round of Mario 64 at sunrise after a long night of impregnating his slaves.
- avidlinuxuser, on 11/28/2007, -0/+19There's more than one continent. These figures are for North America only. That 1.8 million units is spread between every continent.
- doshindude, on 11/28/2007, -0/+19Meaning you'll be getting socks.
- badassninja, on 11/28/2007, -1/+20For real.
- Digibull, on 11/28/2007, -0/+18Galaxy is on my Xmas list right at the top in large capital letters... in red pen :)
- postalblowfish7, on 11/28/2007, -0/+17you're
- chingy1788, on 11/28/2007, -4/+20***** thats like one every two seconds
- donnydarko, on 11/28/2007, -6/+22Well actually it does
- maexus, on 11/28/2007, -0/+15Is that bitterness I hear? Relax.
- Shaflugi, on 11/28/2007, -0/+15Mono sound is pretty damn stupid, but not everybody can afford an HDTV, chris.
- nerdherder, on 11/28/2007, -0/+15We don't take kindly to that sort of thinking on planet America.
- nicko68, on 11/28/2007, -2/+17I see what you did there. You are using the word "Wii" as a euphemism for your penis. Very clever, that.
- DraconWolf, on 11/28/2007, -1/+16Oh please cut it out with this nonsense. Nintendo has TRIPLED production since launch and is still selling out.
- inactive, on 11/28/2007, -0/+14Re-read his tip, it's not a time span, they are specific times. 'And' usually works like that...it does not function as a replacement for 'through'.
- Drull, on 11/28/2007, -5/+18omg yes! mono sound! it's totally unplayable! oh warra bagorra
- rabidbob, on 11/28/2007, -6/+19They aren't selling many in the UK because there are none on the bloody shelves. We're going to have to order from Amazon.de and have it delivered to friends in Germany and then bought to the UK by them, because some corporate ***** at Amazon decided that they wouldn't ship them to the UK from Germany.
There are plenty on sale on UK EBay, and it's quite amusing watching Wii auctions rocket in the last two minutes of bidding. - Hosalabad, on 11/28/2007, -1/+14Wii's whats?
Oh, Wiis. - slicecom, on 11/28/2007, -3/+16Your loss!
- doshindude, on 11/28/2007, -0/+13I think happyhappyhappy is a small child.
- KidVicious, on 11/28/2007, -0/+13"Did you drive much in your time, Fry?"
"Nah, no one in New York drove. There was too much traffic." - geneticlemon, on 11/28/2007, -0/+13If you really want to get technical, Best Buy is only open for 295, 200 seconds per week, on average (give or take depending on the location). So he was right in saying they were selling more than 1 Wii per second they were open, which is about 2.22 Wiis.
- emjaymj, on 11/28/2007, -0/+12Actually that would imply that the 360 has no good games if a third of all system owners felt the need to get that mediocre game in the same week.
- Charlotte_Web, on 11/28/2007, -2/+14Yeah, really.
I was lucky enough to find three of them in Wal-Marts over the last six months. $250 retail; I just sold two of them for an average of $400 each on eBay. - tophu, on 11/28/2007, -0/+11I suspect that someone whose nick is "seinfeldking" is going to find Seinfeld references everywhere...
