- PooChunk, on 01/05/2008, -3/+23Why is it every publication outside of gaming is completely illiterate on the subject. You'd think the Times might hire someone who knows what they're talking about. Oh well, laugh at the stupid people.
- BlackTye, on 01/05/2008, -1/+17Not surprised. How would you store a full game on the DS? If you stored it on the Wii and had to load it from there it would be pointless.
Oh well. It would've been nice though. - eatsleeptrumpet, on 01/05/2008, -1/+17But what if Nintendo released some kind of controller that let you point and manipulate objects onscreen? All it would take is some kind of sensor bar on top of the screen to make it work. What would they call such a device....?
- emjaymj, on 01/05/2008, -1/+11Actually if you look at any subject in the news you are intimately familiar with, chances are you will find major errors. It's not just kid's stuff, they get details wrong on just about everything.
- socalrob, on 01/05/2008, -1/+9I don't know if it was just a dream but I vaguely remember something like what you speak of from my childhood years. It was some sort of Powered Glove and you wore it and moved around and it allowed you to move things on the screen.
But this could all have been a dream. - skywake, on 01/05/2008, -0/+7also, this was about downloading DS games to the DS via the Wii not playing DS games on the Wii itself....
- NeverReturnKid, on 01/05/2008, -0/+7It would be a revolution!
- crichton101, on 01/05/2008, -1/+8Cause the old media still sees things like video games as kids stuff so they aren't that worried about covering it.
- iofthestorm, on 01/05/2008, -1/+7Uhh, not out of the box it doesn't. I've got a homebrew cart too but do you expect MSM to report on shady/quasi-legal devices? Homebrew is legal, definitely, but the things the R4DS/et. al. do aren't exactly limited to legal things.
Edit: I suppose there are some legal media player carts, like GBAMP I think and some others but that's still not out of the box. Unless you mean you watch FMVs in games, in which case, that's not what most people think of when they think of playing videos. - Chris4, on 01/05/2008, -1/+6Wii gamers?
- zwaldowski, on 01/05/2008, -0/+5I'm sure Nintendo could produce a el-cheapo addon memory GBA pack for the DS. Maybe, they could package it along with some sort of wireless web browser of some sort.
- BenKenobi88, on 01/05/2008, -1/+5I figured...free demos are good though.
- DynamiteMonkey, on 01/05/2008, -0/+4I love how their correction of Reggie's name is still wrong.
- Poggins, on 01/05/2008, -1/+4Reread the article.
Slowly. - KingGoonie, on 01/05/2008, -0/+2Um... wrong... NY Times most respected.
- Smwbigboss, on 01/05/2008, -0/+2DS games are usually 16MB or more. The DS only has 4MB of RAM to store temporarily downloaded games. It's enough for demos, but you'd need expandable memory for a full game.
- midriscoll09, on 01/07/2008, -0/+1But we'll still be able to do this on the wii, right?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0
- cwilson, on 01/05/2008, -0/+1This makes more sense. I was wondering how Nintendo was going to deliver full games to the DS without storage. Glad that was cleared up.
What I would like to see is the Wii act as a WiFi point for the DS. I'm not willing to drop my security to WEP just for the DS. - marcomc2, on 01/05/2008, -0/+1Wow what a ***** tease...
Thanks digg, I love high hopes theyre so cool. I am being sarcastic. - MacTyler, on 01/06/2008, -1/+0Wow I can't believe none of yall caught my parody. :(
- DarkShroud, on 01/05/2008, -8/+7The Times wrong again, big surprise.
- zhulien, on 01/05/2008, -2/+1since when did my DS stop playing movies?
- conkers209, on 01/05/2008, -4/+3They are also wrong on how the DS doesn't play videos. I watch videos on my DS sometimes. Stupid NY Times doesn't know anything. Don't talk about video games or anything that you need to plug in a wall.
- mark1599, on 01/05/2008, -3/+2Did anyone actually think that the Times would get the big scoop on some gaming info?
- skitzophreak, on 01/05/2008, -2/+0I would have Dugg this, but Brian Crecente can make another video now people are unable to pronounce his last name.
- grumpy1377, on 01/05/2008, -3/+1(The DS does not play movies) - keke
*rubs my cycloDS Evolution*
but seriously.. 5 mistakes in ONE storey? a monkey could write better! - shcforward, on 01/05/2008, -3/+0No way is it the most respected. It has a lot of well-known accuracy issues. Financial Times is about 20 times better of a paper than the New York Times.
- inactive, on 01/05/2008, -4/+1most DS game files aren't very big.
I have 32 on my little r4 cartridge. - dagamer34, on 01/05/2008, -6/+3Until they do something right, it's business as usual.
- exomni, on 01/05/2008, -4/+1You can store hundreds of DS titles on most flash carts. Buy one that accepts microSD and you're good for life.
- KingGoonie, on 01/05/2008, -9/+3Um... wow... that sounded sarcastic... you do realize the NY Time is the most respected periodical in the world don't you? For good reason... you sound like a tool insulting it.
- MacTyler, on 01/05/2008, -8/+0wow that rulls

there we go. - peter337, on 01/05/2008, -12/+1buried ... who the f*K cares
- inactive, on 01/05/2008, -14/+3Dear nintendo, please stop letting me down thanks - consumer
Before you digg me down, think about no online multiplayer (like xbox live) no 007 goldeneye.... - xxA7XxaDdiCtxx, on 01/05/2008, -15/+3Unless your tv was a touch screen it really wouldn't work out the best unless it was full of a bunch of third party games that only need the touchscreen to select items.
