- SmokeN-DC, on 10/03/2008, -4/+45ahh hours of pulling weeds and fishing I have all ready pre-ordered this

- MaTT2011, on 10/04/2008, -2/+29I'll take humorless stereotypes about the video gaming community for 500, Alex...
- Akaziel, on 10/04/2008, -1/+27Interspecies breading is good if you deep fry, but if you bake it, it gets all crumbly and delicious. Also try interspecies batter and interspecies tempura.
- theragu40, on 10/04/2008, -0/+23I used to play with my little brother back in the day. But one day he came and stole one of the rare NES games that I had found and took it back to his city. So I visited his city and cut down every tree in the entire village. That's where the true beauty of Animal Crossing lies: petty theft begetting wanton destruction, all with forest creatures.
- chrgrose, on 10/04/2008, -3/+25I can almost count the amount of polygons on those screens with my fingers. Seriously, nintendo...
- samfishercell, on 10/04/2008, -1/+22I enjoyed Animal Crossing on GCN. I bought Animal Crossing on DS. I will not be purchasing Animal Crossing for the Wii. There simply doesn't appear to be much changed/enhanced. I loved how at E3 they tried to hype up the online play by showing characters having "fishing contests" and "hanging out in each other's homes." Have you ever tried to actually do that in Animal Crossing? There's no structure in place, and sitting in people's homes and clicking on their one-action (if that) furniture items? No thanks.
Where's my new Pikmin? - kawaiirobo, on 10/04/2008, -2/+23Yes, you are the only one. Real or not, if you don't feel something after this story you really most be a cold person. Not to be judgmental, but I really feel sorry for you.
- nshady, on 10/04/2008, -3/+18If you want any more proof that Nintendo just couldn't give a ***** when developing this game, just look to the southern hemisphere. For the third game in a row, there's no ability to flip the seasons so that we get summer over December. It would take like one line of code.
- mbonzo531, on 10/04/2008, -2/+17I love wii and I love animal crossing but these pictures are nothing special. I know its a specific style of graphics but the edges of the objects are so sharp they look they belong on an N64.
- ursername180, on 10/04/2008, -1/+13I love Animal Crossing, but I think they didn't try enough in terms of the whole game. The graphics are still sub-par in my opinion and I was really hoping for an MMO, instead we get a city and that's practically it.
What irritates me is I'm still going to get it. : - garionw, on 10/04/2008, -0/+11I'm still waiting for Pikmin
- Nintendesert, on 10/04/2008, -0/+9Smashy? Ninty? WTFY.
- douglasr007, on 10/04/2008, -1/+9I'll take anal bum cover for $500, Alex.
- ivansusanin, on 10/04/2008, -16/+24what the ***** is this *****?
- Arxilca, on 10/04/2008, -0/+8That was touching, I was afraid it was going to be http://autoreiv.com/animalcrossing/OP.htm
- MaTT2011, on 10/04/2008, -0/+7Agreed, this is clearly an "either / or" situation. How can we be excited about 2 games at once!? Craziness...
- sh04, on 10/04/2008, -0/+6"As of March 31 2008, Animal Crossing: Wild World has sold 9.53 million copies worldwide."
One would assume it has sold over 10 million by now. - MaTT2011, on 10/04/2008, -4/+10seriously, how can we have fun with a game that doesnt meet our standards of polygon count?! Its like nintendo doesn't even care about the graphic whoring community at all! Nintendo can call us when they stop worrying about things like gameplay and get back to the things that REALLY matter...
- ursername180, on 10/04/2008, -0/+6The cheeks on that bunny bug the hell outta me. It's like they didn't even care when it came to modelling.
- LordofChaosIori, on 10/04/2008, -0/+6I kept my Wii and got a 360, now get the best of both. :]
- RutgerB, on 10/04/2008, -0/+5No he's not the only one.
- CoreyTamas, on 10/04/2008, -2/+7You lost your summer job because of the economy even though the economic crash didn't happen until after the summer.
Wait, what? - error2k2, on 10/04/2008, -0/+5I bet there is a rich guy willing to pay you good money for that poor-ass...
then you'll have all 3! - ursername180, on 10/04/2008, -0/+5Well he never said he isn't moved by it. But it's true, the in-game mom does send you letters. So the story kind of has me confused to if the mom was the real one or not.
- EtherGnat, on 10/04/2008, -0/+5The last Animal Crossing game sold almost 10 million copies, more than anything on PS3 or the 360. What leads you to believe nobody cares?
- DawgMan93, on 10/05/2008, -1/+5Its a style, it would look like this if it was on the 360.
Deal with it. - chaosblade77, on 10/04/2008, -0/+4The number of polygons don't affect gameplay this day in age. If you go back to Star Fox SNES, yes, back then it made a real difference.
Still, that's the style of the game, that's how it's been and that's how it's going to be. I understand that not everyone is going to like it because I don't either. The fact that it doesn't make any attempt to use cutting edge graphics at all does not make it a bad game though. While I probably won't pick it up (my brother will so I'll have a chance to try it if I want) I enjoyed the out-dated looking GCN version a lot. - Corona85, on 10/04/2008, -11/+15Wow, they couldn't do something with the graphics? Might as well be another DS game.
- Pinkshisno, on 10/04/2008, -0/+4He's obviously too old to be playing "kiddy" games.
- sh4rkb1t3, on 10/04/2008, -2/+6Nintendo only invented this "gameplay over graphics" mantra to keep their costs down. Yes, the graphics on Nintendo games are bad, but no, the gameplay isn't better than on any other system. So basically, the consumer loses while Nintendo wins.
- Cubine, on 10/05/2008, -0/+3I know, I know, gameplay over graphics and all that is a perfectly good principle.
But this is absolutely no improvement. - Elranzer, on 10/06/2008, -0/+3Animal Crossing has long term appeal. LittleBigPlanet seems like it will be cute for about an hour or two, then never get touched again. It has "Spore" written all over it.
- WhiteHamster, on 10/04/2008, -1/+4Gameplay over technological advances is more like it. I've been playing games on the internet since about 1997, all with being able to talk to my friends and launch games with them painlessly, now nintendo, in 2006 lets you kind of play games with your friends behind layers and layers of numbers and needless complexity. If i wanted to play a game of SC with my friends, we'd all say in email or IM, join this game called X, and they all did! Today, it would be, with 3 friends
X1 adds X2's code
X1 adds X3's code
X2 adds X1's code
X2 adds X3's code
X3 adds X1's code
X3 adds X2's code
they all approve
send invites to friends
play a laggy game
get dropped halfway through
...
but you get to waggle - MaTT2011, on 10/04/2008, -3/+6EVERYONE CARES :|
- SaraSu, on 10/06/2008, -0/+3I'm not going to lie.
I'm pretty excited about this.
Everyone admit it! - atgmac, on 10/04/2008, -0/+3Crumbly and delicious, eh? Does that mean shoe circus inter-breed their shoes?
- inactive, on 10/04/2008, -6/+9I used to be a delusional Nintendo lover like all of you, but i eventually weened myself off after realizing they sold me out for my grandma. I await the day when Nintendo redeems themselves and starts making new and original games that aren't gimmicks.
- kawaiirobo, on 10/04/2008, -0/+3Though there is legit criticism about this game,it brings up too many good memories with friends in collage to pass up. Updated graphics or not I'm going to get this cause I love the series too much. Bury me, that's fine, but for some reason I can't turn my back on this series, it's just too much fun and too many good times with a few beers and a couple of Ds's.
- AshsToAshs, on 10/04/2008, -1/+4Animal crossing is about more than just making cute outfits and drawing penises in the sky.
Alot of older gamers play it as well. - walshgopher, on 10/05/2008, -0/+3And save up pitfalls and bury them where its hard to see the star. And hey holes can be filled in but someone /has/ to fill them in... Oh and be realllly nice to the favourite neighbor so they move away to your neighborhood.
- walshgopher, on 10/05/2008, -0/+3"What leads you to believe nobody cares?"
His bigoted faith in humanity. - completerobot, on 10/04/2008, -0/+2If you enjoy Harvest Moon games, it's definitely worth it.
- Twee, on 10/05/2008, -0/+2I don't have any of my friends added to the nintendo wifi thing, although a ton of my friends have wiis. We just play them together in person since its such a pain in the ass to do that friend code *****, whereas on the 360 I have a ton of my friends because I can just enter a simple username instead of exchanging a bunch of ***** to get it working.
- bblande, on 10/04/2008, -1/+3This has inspired me to find stuff and send it to my son on Animal Crossing DS.
- ursername180, on 10/04/2008, -0/+2@kawaiirobo
Well sure, you would still get your own town and the city would stay, but perhaps the city should be the online part of the game where you can chat to random people. - ursername180, on 10/04/2008, -1/+3That's not the point. The point is Animal Crossing isn't a complex game in terms of visuals, yet Nintendo made all the models, etc. have low poly-counts.
