Ness, Jigglypuff, Lucario accidentally confirmed for Brawl

      Nintendo leaked this information themself, normally i don't ever say anything is confirmed until it's on the dojo, but these things are confirmed

      It would have been news if Mega Man, Tails or Simon Belmont were accidentally revealed.

    • Shawn4168, on 01/21/2008, -0/+6I don't really see the problem with clones in SSBM. Nintendo still provided us with a ton of unique characters and moves even without the clones. Clones simply added a bit more visual variety and flair to the game, with relatively little effort on the developers' part. It's a win-win situation.

        Anyway, they have a huge arsenal of abilities from EarthBound to give to Ness, so I'm hoping they'll be smart and give Ness new moves.

So thats Pokemon Trainer, Jigglypuff, Pikachu, and now this guy... thats 4! I mean I know Mario has 4 too (if Luigi is in it, not counting Wario since he kinda branched off on his own now)... but thats Mario... hell Zelda so far only has 3 (and thats assuming Ganon is in it!)

    I think their should be less pokemon, simply because of the trainer... there should only be pikachu and trainer and thats it...

They kept the original two, Pokemon Trainer replaces Pichu which was just a Pikachu clone, and Lucario replaces Mewtwo as he's basically the same (as far as SSB is concerned), but with hand-to-hand fighting abilities.

Fortunately most of the "clones" were just unlockables, so hopefully it will be that way here too. I'd feel a little burned if half the roster was just clones of the other half.

      another great party game was getting 4 people. setting it all to jiggly puff. and turning item spawn to high, turning off all items except for pokeballs. it is just one crazy puffy experience. everyone is consntaly puffing across the screen

That and the posted an original censored version of the video 3 days ago and REPLACED it with one with the leaks and then REMOVED it once again in an effort to "cover up". Looks like the leak was intentional and therefore maybe they wanted to hide the big baddass that is Mewtwo while giving the fans a little to consider for the time being.

I was looking at all the games that everywhere else has on sale this week, particularly Assassins Creed... but nope all full price in Walmart.. Hell Walmart has higher prices on games and DVDs then most other places... I never got the big deal there, because I always found better deals in Target, BestBuy, CircuitCity, etc...

It is surprisingly effective at mid-level play, just because no one expects the Puff to be decent. Obviously not a main choice at tourney level, though
    • TheRealM3D, on 01/21/2008, -0/+18Actually, Jigglypuff was pretty solid in Melee. She was one of the very best characters to use in Teams (2v2) matches and fairly pretty well in singles as well. Using the Over+B "Pound" attack, she could basically recover from any place on the map as long as she wasn't knocked out. Also, being able to combo into the Down+B "Rest" made her vicious against characters like Fox, Falco, Captain Falcon and others. Considering that, The Puff was good, if not great.

    • random19, on 01/21/2008, -0/+5the strategy with Jigglypuff is to never touch the ground (basically). Her aerial attacks kick ass. Do a youtube search for "jigglypuff wall of pain". You'll see what I'm talking about. Combine that with some well timed one-hit-KOs and you've got one of the best characters in the game.

      Oh, and she has good throws. Not to mention can get back on the map from ANYWHERE.

        Also, Geno has that whole "badass" type character persona going for him.

There are already a couple characters like this in melee. Sheik? I would consider sheik an individual character, even though she is a transformation of zelda, and she was only in OOT, briefly. I don't think it really matters when the character was made up or how long they were around as long as they are cool, which geno is IMO.

I'm probably gonna like playing as him good enough, but he doesn't quite fit in as good as say, Sonic.     Read this update. See what is says about certain stickers only being usable on certain characters? That's what this is all about. Lucario, Jigglypuff, and Ness are confirmed through their face icons, visible on the bottom of a sticker, where the characters that can use it are listed.

      Characters in the bottom represent the only characters that can use the selected sticker. PLAYABLE characters that you can add the stick to their trophy stands. Lucario, Ness and Jigglypuff being down there means they're PLAYABLE characters

Since Japan was only delayed for a while (7 days actually) but the US got almost a month, the only reason the game would be delayed is either a) production snags or b) they want more copies on store shelves before the game is released. Honestly, I kinda do thing a delay would be worth it them. This will be the hottest game of the year, if not of this generation and almost impossible to find if they released it when they had planed to.
