- inactive, on 11/29/2007, -5/+8I've got a genius idea , how about "online" game play. Where you can play your friends in your fav Nintendo games over the "internet".
- airwalkery2k, on 11/29/2007, -1/+4It sounds more of a ploy to get more high-speed internet users.
- LOLSteelBullet, on 11/29/2007, -1/+3Nintendo has an online service? News to me. *owns a wii and wants to throttle friend codes*
- Shaflugi, on 11/29/2007, -0/+2It also takes me a while to download stuff. Using the internet channel works fine, but any time I try to download a game, it takes a bit longer than it should.
- BlueSkyfish, on 11/30/2007, -0/+2Kind of like Mario Strikers?
- Sixcolors, on 11/30/2007, -0/+1And this has what to do with the image of a cat inside the case of a Performa?
- shortarabguy, on 11/29/2007, -2/+3Dude, the service is being offered to current Wii owners. They're having trouble meeting demand for the Wii as it is, even at 1.8 million unit production per month.
- ggnictee, on 11/29/2007, -1/+2...sooooo still not Nintendo Live? Well at least your title got my hopes up so they could fall that much farther. *insert sad face here*
- AlMightyBob90, on 11/30/2007, -0/+1Note also how most broadband packages are quoted as being "Up to xMB" meaning that they might rarely reach top speed(7 in your case).
- schoate09, on 11/29/2007, -1/+2Perhaps your wireless connection is messed up. For me it doesn't seem to take long downloading a NES game, but keep in mind, my Wii is within 3 feet of my wireless router.
- grumbel, on 11/30/2007, -0/+1One thing to keep in mind is that a VC game is quite a lot larger then a bare ROM since they game with a bundled emulator, so if an NES game doesn't download instantly, the cause might also simply be that its larger then expected.
- Renton, on 11/30/2007, -0/+1I wish Nippon Telegraph would come to America. I'm getting sick of the Comcast/Verizon monopoly.
- brklynmark, on 11/29/2007, -2/+3It seems to me that download speed from the US Wii servers is due to the server's bandwidth constrictions, not the users'. Even with a 7 MB connection in my apartment, it takes way too long to download an NES game. Maybe Nintendo should focus on their own bandwidth before worrying about their customers'.
- rifter01, on 11/30/2007, -0/+1not only that.. who knew it takes fiber optic to play the wiiii.. lol
- IllBeBack, on 11/29/2007, -2/+3If only anyone could actually BUY a Wii... Seems like they're sold out everywhere.
- Cyber_Akuma, on 11/30/2007, -0/+1How about they make their online service worth a damn first?
Its NOT good when online systems that were in place over a decade ago look better than your nwely created system.
And it seems like they keep making changes for the WORSE lately. Requiring both a system and game FC code, removing the ability to communicate, removing the ability to see names, etc.
Nintendo seems to incorrectly think the ONLY purpose of online play is to play with real life friends who are not able to physically be there at that time. Thats have basically come out and said exactly this.
Youd think after Capcom, Square-Enix, and millions of consumers all have said friend codes suck they would have gotten the hint to let up, not make it MORE annoying. - timlopez, on 11/30/2007, -0/+1So, now you can fill up that limited, non-expandable, space on your Wii in a matter of seconds.
wow... - pon4v, on 06/13/2008, -0/+0sooooo still not Nintendo Live?

this has nothing to do with Nintendo's online service, it's only a ploy to sell more Wiis. - RaysFire, on 11/29/2007, -3/+0What about the left out wii users.. it seems the world doesn't know what "Dial-up" is anymore.
