- sgiffy, on 08/13/2008, -1/+90Damn it all to hell, this pisses me the ***** off. I am tired of video game manufactures forcing me to buy these games. Oh wait...

"Gameplay
From a third-person perspective, the player controls Jack, a hulking brute with a chainsaw for an arm, as he competes in a violent TV show. Using the Nunchuk to move Jack, by gesturing the Wii Remote, players perform brutal melee attacks on enemies. Also Jack can use objects around the environment, such as impaling an enemy's head with a caution sign in an ironic way."
This game sounds awesome! - FlyingPhotog, on 08/12/2008, -1/+60Oh save our precious Snowflakes!
- keviniskool, on 08/13/2008, -1/+52I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad.
- damnthatsweird, on 08/13/2008, -1/+38Great, instead of parents just not letting their kids buy the game, why not just stop the game from being made at all! Everyone's a winner.
- Aceman196, on 08/12/2008, -8/+43Dont buy the violent games.
- 10scott10, on 08/13/2008, -1/+34this game sounds awesome.
the wii needs more games like this. i love the other games (mario, zelda, smash) but seriously, i want some really violent games that actually use the wii-mote. - IHaveIssues, on 08/13/2008, -3/+34The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had.
- Tarotsan, on 08/13/2008, -3/+33Dear Daily Mail Editor, It has come to my attention that these so called DVD players that have previously been marketed as family friendly playing such titles as the care bears or telly tubbies are also capable of playing adult films such as Texas Chain Saw Massacre and those by that young hooligan Quentin Tarantino. This is unnacceptable, if people want to watch trash like this they should be forced to do it on VHS. VHS was always acceptable for them in the past. Why are they now allowed to taint my enjoyment of the sound of music on HD DVD by sitting behind locked doors experiencing what can only be described as depravity on EXACTLY THE SAME MACHINE. I shall be writing a letter to my MP to insist that all those found guilty of buying 18 rated movies are forthwith castrated and instead forced to watch fluffy kittens eat their genitals. Perhaps then they will see sense, blather, whinge, moan...
- dheaddy, on 08/13/2008, -0/+29It's funny that no groups were in an uproar over the re-release of Resident Evil 4 on the Wii, which sits comfortably on the shelves next to Cooking Mama 2 and High School Music 2: Sing It. Another example of sensationalism by the media.
- nemesis256, on 08/13/2008, -0/+28What about No More Heroes? I hate people who complain about random violent video games.
- ModernDayDarwin, on 08/13/2008, -1/+23mad world.
- inactive, on 08/13/2008, -2/+23When people run in circles it's a very, very...
- Ljay90, on 08/13/2008, -2/+19I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take.
- V3n0M, on 08/13/2008, -3/+20OOOoooo... Scary red pixels!!! Must not let children see red pixels!!!
- zyklon, on 08/13/2008, -2/+17"Don't buy", "Change the station", "Don't pay attention"... it's all the same ***** we've heard since the 1950's when that guy made that fart joke. What REALLY needs to happen is for people to just stop caring so much about "innocence". With the internet around and in the current state it's in, innocence is something you lose when you pass those fleshy gates at birth.
- ParanoydAndroid, on 08/13/2008, -2/+17How about we all compromise: Don't make the game, instead just make an actual game show based on the same premise, and make members of the media watchdog groups be the participants.
Problem solved, everyone's happy. - DesdinovaEL, on 08/13/2008, -2/+15People just dont get it. If you dont like the game, dont buy it, dont play it, dont let your kid play it.... Vote with your wallet, as it were. By raising a fuss like this it only advertises the game (I had never heard of it before this) and makes the game cooler to kids.
-abc - kotatsu, on 08/13/2008, -2/+15No surprise this links back to the Daily Hail, the UK's resident ultra right wing racist hate rag which would like nothing better than a total ban on freedom of speech and a society built on 'good christian fascist values' or some such *****. They make me sick.
- djpray2k, on 08/13/2008, -1/+13Releasing awfeful 'casual' games is what will and is killing the Wii, not decent games (regardless of violence).
I don't mean that Wii sales will do bad because of it, I mean Wii software sales...
Take a look at http://www.vgchartz.com/aweekly.php If you exlude Wii Sports and Wii Play for coming with the hardware Wii games are noticeable by their abensce. People are buying the system in their droves but they don't buy the games for it. They are happy playing bowling. Maybe some mature games will do it some good. - IHaveIssues, on 08/13/2008, -0/+10Yes, yes it does:
Trailer --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFNJfDGSZp0 - sindex, on 08/13/2008, -0/+9Resident Evil freaking rocks on the Wii, as well. Check it out if you haven't.
- ooby, on 08/13/2008, -0/+9Resident Evil 4 makes pretty good use of the wiimote.
- dsully215, on 08/13/2008, -0/+8Agreed. I only bought my Wii in hopes that eventually I could beat the hell out of someone in a game
- inactive, on 08/13/2008, -1/+9@RyanBlack
Yeah, xbox live. - btschul, on 08/13/2008, -1/+8Attention up tight *****: You can keep your wii carnage free. This miracle is possible through the process of NOT ***** BUYING VIOLENT GAMES FOR YOUR ***** WII. Don't try to dictate what I can and can't buy because you don't like it. I tell you, some ***** people.....
- raptordrew, on 08/13/2008, -0/+7Man, No More Heroes was pretty graphic, and no people are crying out about it... I hate morons who pick one random game because it makes them feel good to complain. Granted, I hate people who complain about video game violence in general - if you don't like the violence, don't buy it, but don't ruin it for everyone else. It worked in the past - parents didn't just run out and buy Custer's Revenge for their kids playing Atari, and it can be done today, as well.
- petebot, on 08/13/2008, -0/+5mmmmmm...fleshy gates...
- Bulletbillx, on 08/13/2008, -0/+5I played Mortal Kombat, Doom, and all the other violent games that came out when I was a young kid, and I turned out normal. They might not have been quite as realistic in graphics, but my imagination made up for that especially in Doom. So please do shut up. Age does not = maturity or ability to realize that it is fake which I did realize at the time. I would never try and never did try to replicate those games in the real world.
- Andrwmorph, on 08/13/2008, -0/+5My 10 year old cousin was caught looking at porn a few days ago. I got glared at when I high-fived him.
- BuzzFriendly, on 08/13/2008, -1/+6Please Mr Government protect me from those violent games as I do not have the self control to prevent myself from buying it.
- Ljay90, on 08/13/2008, -0/+5If I could digg you twice I would.
Bravo sir. - mudgie, on 08/13/2008, -1/+6I'm glad that these groups have my best interests in mind. I don't know where I'd be without these wonderful people telling me, an adult, what I can and can't watch, read or play.
- MammasMilk, on 08/13/2008, -0/+5Damn fart jokes
- Mr.Gone, on 08/13/2008, -1/+5Man am I getting sick of "groups" saying *****. I think we need to have a minimum number of members and a license before the term "group" can be applied. This is a bunch of whining bastards unable to take responsibility for their own children. I know it's been a long time since you've heard it. but they need to DIAF.
- directrix13, on 08/13/2008, -0/+4You are FAPPING wrong if it sounds like BAN BAN BAN.
- stealthc, on 08/13/2008, -0/+4The Wii has parental controls and the ESRB rating system works fine. This is a non-issue.
- lalet, on 08/13/2008, -0/+4The Wii isn't just for children. Deal with it. :p
- JudgeMonkey, on 08/13/2008, -0/+3Hmm, I had heard of this game very little, but had not seen trailers. It seems like the graphics style they chose would cause quick eye strain.
- WhiskeyLemur, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3"Though that may just be because I'm also not 13 anymore."
13? Try 30 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_game_culture
"The average age for a video game player is about 30, a number slowly increasing as people that were children playing the first arcade, console and home computer games continue playing now on current systems" (click the link for citations). Just because you're not interested anymore does not mean that no one else is, either. - VgRasta, on 08/13/2008, -0/+3This is why I love digg.
- inactive, on 08/13/2008, -0/+3w00t! I love the cartoonish setting/style. It reminds me of Stubbs the Zombie.
If it's as fun as Stubbs... Oooooh lawdy I can't even think about it. - WhiskeyLemur, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3Congratulations, HillerMylife: you win the "I don't know how to read sales and revenue figures" award for the last 20 years.
- Gamoc, on 08/13/2008, -0/+3...M724 is an adult - I am completely certain that by '***** hate' he was simply using adult-speak, which you, as an 'adult', should probably have recognised. Stop treating children like idiots, too. You're giving them way too little respect and underestimating just how clever they can be - which is a typical 'adult' viewpoint, too.
Also - you attribute an adults language to being a fanboy? Then you jump directly to the PS3 as the source of said fanboy-ness (new word)? So you didn't jump to the system that is mostly known for FPS games? Are you a 360 fanboy, or something?
Get your hypocrisy out of the gaming section of Digg, you misguided fool. - johnnysaucepn, on 08/13/2008, -0/+3The Wii part is really only leverage. This group wants to remove all violent games - they just reckon appealing to the 'fluffy' Wii image is the best way to gain a foothold.
Personally, I bought a Wii exactly because I wanted a range of games, from casual and fluffy to one that I can get my adult teeth into. - bluezombie, on 08/13/2008, -1/+4Breaking News: A video game console will play whatever you develop for it. Poor little video game censorship advocates. This is just as bad as the day they found out that their mommy and daddy had to do the nasty in order for them to be born.
- Mizery, on 08/13/2008, -0/+3I hear pinball is making a comeback.
- dood, on 08/14/2008, -0/+3"I for one do not see the value of letting children play in the world of GTA. Ask yourself, what positive lesson can be learned from GTA?"
It depends on what you mean by "positive". They can learn problem solving, improve hand-eye coordination, expand their learning of the difference between fantasy and reality, get a rudimentary introduction to pathfinding (by viewing the map while on the way to/from a mission or waypoint). These are all useful in some way and aren't negative lessons, at least. - alphareyx, on 08/13/2008, -0/+2censorship in the uk is horrible. remember teenage mutant hero turtles? and in the show they replaced nunchucks with wands or som crap.
