- Warden72, on 04/21/2009, -3/+96I hope you can smash guitars, then reassemble them.
- SKLOKAZOID, on 04/21/2009, -2/+84Man, I can't wait to play all of my favorite Lego songs!
- ghostrc, on 04/21/2009, -2/+84We Built This City...
- nerdherder, on 04/21/2009, -3/+51Up next, LEGO CoD!
- mkamal, on 04/21/2009, -1/+46Pussies, learn to play a REAL lego.
- TwistyMcFister, on 04/21/2009, -0/+34Now I just need Muppets Rock Band and my collection will be complete
- Exhaust, on 04/21/2009, -2/+27Would hope so otherwise its just Rock Band with Lego block avatars on stage moving around while your playing. If thats the only gimmick its clearly not worth full retail $60.
- specter19, on 04/21/2009, -0/+23Megablock Guitar hero would have made more sense :|
- Coffeedemon, on 04/21/2009, -7/+29But wait, I thought it was evil Activision that was milking franchises for games that don't need to be made? This sounds pretty weak to me.... and an obvious cash grab.
- inactive, on 04/21/2009, -1/+22Yes, Lego Star Wars was awesome... but how is Rock Band enhanced by Lego?
- Munceenuts, on 04/21/2009, -0/+21Why not The Final Countdown?!
Like the guy in the $6,000 suit is going to pay $60 to not play The Final Countdown. COME ON! - ProductNumber01, on 04/21/2009, -1/+21Dugg for Lego chest hair.
- Hero0fTime, on 04/21/2009, -0/+15Playing guitar with your hands permanently shaped like a U?
- AndrewDB, on 04/21/2009, -0/+13Everything.
Yes. Everything. Is enhanced by Lego. - ZombieSociety, on 04/21/2009, -0/+13The difference between Lego CoD and Lego Rock Band is that Lego CoD would be awesome.
- bobthegreat1224, on 04/21/2009, -1/+13Cue the Arrested Development jokes.
- Coffeedemon, on 04/21/2009, -2/+14That might actually be a decent use of the Lego concept. That or a giant world in which you could build your own bases and cities and fight it out/trade with others.
- specter19, on 04/21/2009, -0/+12Lego CoD would be awesome, you could like blow off their lego body parts and pieces of the level!
- Treason, on 04/21/2009, -0/+12not bacon
- tidu, on 04/21/2009, -0/+11did you really include The Killers in that list of classic bands?
- TalkGibberish, on 04/21/2009, -1/+12OH MY GOSH!
Bacon Blocks!!!
Internet, we have an idea. Get to work! - reddevild, on 04/21/2009, -0/+11I would so buy Muppets over Lego solely for ANIMAL going nuts after every song you beat
- Thekirby45, on 04/21/2009, -3/+14Europe: "The Final Countdown" WHAT!?!?!?
I been asking for this song since Guitar hero 1! - vegx, on 04/21/2009, -0/+11There is a complete lack of good Muppets games.
- FirstCuts, on 04/21/2009, -2/+12When I submitted this, no other entries appeared. The duplicate engine is far from perfect.
- Jektal, on 04/21/2009, -0/+10Meh, it'd be cheaper, but all the instruments would keep falling apart.
- Syphir, on 04/21/2009, -0/+9By making it more appealing to younger audiences and making it immediately recognizable as one of many popular Lego games.
It's family-friendly. - Peach3s, on 04/21/2009, -0/+9you mean pretty much all RTS games?
- fsufanizzle, on 04/21/2009, -2/+11Looks like this franchise is now going the way of Guitar Hero....
- rkho, on 04/21/2009, -0/+9You killed it!
- ToTheBatcave, on 04/21/2009, -0/+9On rockkk n' rollll.
- hollismb, on 04/21/2009, -0/+8I'd rather them make the songs exportable, ala Rock Band 1 is to Rock Band 2. Cheaper to buy a disc with 40+ songs than is is to download at 2 dollars a song.
- gametavern, on 04/21/2009, -0/+8manah manah!
- uberchaoslord, on 04/21/2009, -1/+9My 9-year old loves The Who, Metallica, Judas Priest, The Killers, etc... now because of Rock Band. Its a great way to spend time with them, and for them to get exposed to a variety of musical tastes (except country, THANK GOD)
- EllisSpice, on 04/21/2009, -1/+8ROCK ON!
Well, not too hard, your arm will come off.
Oh, deja vu. - aspectratio314, on 04/21/2009, -2/+9I'll play Rock Band Apologist and say that Lego Rock Band has the potential for being a considerably different game than the regular Rock Band.
Also should have greater appeal for parents who might not want little Joey exposed to Metallica and Judas Priest quite yet. - rodted2, on 04/21/2009, -0/+7ANIMAL!!!!
- ldkronos, on 04/22/2009, -0/+7I've been playing real instruments for 30 years, and I love Rock Band. What's your point?
- MacHarborGuy, on 04/21/2009, -0/+7and Doom 3 was a profitable game for ID Software, for being able to render a black screen so fluidly ;)
- Coffeedemon, on 04/21/2009, -0/+7You'll just be "that guy" who brings his guitar to every party unless all (or at least a few) of your friends can play something too.
- DCstewieG, on 04/21/2009, -0/+6We had the Final Countdown played for the bridal party introduction at my wedding. It was awesome. I wanted to flip a deck of cards from my hands GOB style but I didn't want to push my luck...
- Coffeedemon, on 04/21/2009, -3/+9Apparently it doesn't take much more than the effort equivalent to blowing some flour off a countertop.
- raleel, on 04/21/2009, -3/+9Where is my Mii-based FPS with oversized weapons and the relatively few Mii body parts being blows everywhere? I want to see my Mii with a rocket launcher bigger than him, or a chain gun with a drum as big as my torso. Indeed. Mii TF2 would probably have me playing it for 2 years straight if the pyro Mii (which is my Mii with a facemask and my body shape in a hazmat suit) could melt the others... as in literally go to goo, not this ash stuff :) You could even have the "intelligence" be a Princess whining and bitching for you to beat up the other team and save her.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 04/21/2009, -1/+6Can you play the Zac the LEGO Maniac commercial jingle?
- Dumbledorito, on 04/21/2009, -1/+6The trouble is all the music sounds like creaking plastic accompanied by someone shaking a five-gallon bag full of dice.
- specialK16, on 04/21/2009, -1/+6So much fail, that it is probably one of the most successful series in this console generation.
- ldkronos, on 04/22/2009, -0/+5Lets see. So far, Guitar Hero's 2009 lineup (including expected upcoming titles) consists of Metallica, Van Halen, Hendrix, Greatest Hits, and a few others that they haven't disclosed more than "weve got this company working on another game in the series". I don't recall where I read it, but someone from the company said they were aiming for 8 guitar hero games for 2009. On top of that, they try to milk the DLC for what they can. For example, Death Magnetic can only be purchased as a full album (no picking individual songs).
Rock Band, on the other hand, is so far expected to be comprised of The Beatles, and now Lego. With the DLC, they've never had anything bundled. Every song can be purchased individually.
So, who does it look like is milking it? - HurricaneDC, on 04/21/2009, -1/+6The Final Countdown knows no limits on age.
- fury420, on 04/21/2009, -0/+5DDR was successful too, but that didn't stop it from getting mocked incessantly, now did it?
- TheKitchenSinkX, on 04/21/2009, -1/+5This is ***** stupid.
They better make all the new songs DLC, like they're doing with Unplugged. -
