"Some of the greatest moments of gaming, ever burned to disc."
"No better control option, ever concieved."
"You'll never want to play dual analogue, ever again."
"A near religious experience."
Visuals: "MP3 proves that art trumps all." "Holds it's own against any other console."
"After a couple of hours, Nintendo's theory of gameplay over graphics will make total sense." - Dainjah, on 10/10/2007, -2/+98Bioshock least week, Metroid this week! I'm in First Person Shooter/Adventure bliss.
- lansuggs, on 10/10/2007, -7/+98The first game that I've actually been excited for on the Wii. Must buy as soon as possible, and kill some space pirates!
- nufan00, on 10/10/2007, -2/+59http://www.gametrailers.com/player/24117.html Gametrailers review. 9.6
- Jeffler, on 10/10/2007, -9/+65Yeah, whatever, but does it have TALLSCREEN?
- razmig, on 10/10/2007, -5/+55right, so I guess we can all poke fun at bioshock as well?
- nizam, on 10/10/2007, -1/+47what an awesome way to start the school year. bioshock, metroid prime 3, and halo 3 soon.
there goes my gpa. - mretx, on 10/10/2007, -22/+65Nice review... but I dont agree with the score. I understand what he meant when he said that since it's a sequel it must score less, but you cant ignore the fact that the gameplay for this version is completely new and fresh and something of a paradigm shift in the console FPS games because of the excellent use of Wiimote.
So, by that logic, even if this version is at the same level or better than the first one in every department and, as he says, unarguably has better controls, it must have scored atleast a 9.8, i.e. same as the fist game.
I am pretty sure that five years down the lane this game will be remembered as the one which changed how the FPS games will be played on consoles. - OgnodoD, on 10/10/2007, -3/+45They gave it a 9: http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3162330
- NightStryke, on 10/10/2007, -2/+41I am pretty sure that five years down the lane no one will remember what score ign gave the game. What difference does it make whether it received a 9.5 or a 9.8?
- championchap, on 10/10/2007, -0/+37Obviously you don't own a Wii or you would realise that you can just move your wrist.. and exert about as much effort as you do when playing on the PC. Perhaps less.
- shiftless, on 10/10/2007, -3/+36Everyone knows Twilight Princess is a Gamecube port ;)
- FizixMan, on 10/10/2007, -4/+33On behalf of all the people who use wheelchairs, STFU.
"Oh poor me, I can't hold this ridiculously light remote up for a few hours." - mymidgetfriend, on 10/10/2007, -5/+31So happy with the Wii60
- mrfreeziexp, on 10/10/2007, -1/+26He's just sick of having no friends so he invited us over!
- Hoinah, on 10/10/2007, -4/+29Yeah seriously, working at Gamestop, I'm so disgusted with the Livetards who didn't want Bioshock, because "its lame to have to pay 60 bucks and not get Live".
Bioshock is one of the greatest games I've played in years, but frankly, multiplayer wouldn't work, the company realized that and instead of tacking some ***** MP mode on it, they made it an exceptional single player experience - kingcam, on 10/10/2007, -0/+25Dugg down for anti-goldeneye heresy!
- Hoinah, on 10/10/2007, -0/+24I got to play it for an hour or so yesterday (I work at Gamestop and we got a copy to put in the display Wii). It takes a few minutes to get used to, but definitely achieves a First Person experience that the wii has strived for since it inception.
- Sirocco, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24Resident Evil 4 manged that feat twice, once for the GC and for the Wii.
- McTendo, on 10/10/2007, -4/+26Do trolls even try anymore? Blocked as lame.
- mattyice11, on 10/10/2007, -1/+22I can understand why you would have been complaining about a lack of games up until now...but tomorrow is the day that everyone has been waiting for. You can stop complaining now...Galaxy's release date is set, Brawl's release date is set, and Metroid is out. It's a good time to be a Wii owner.
- alexkorova, on 10/10/2007, -0/+20DanteDefiance,
Nintendo is known to be one of the best software game developers in the industry, even though they also make consoles why shouldn't they try to make their games as good as possible? - DrunkenDevil, on 10/10/2007, -4/+23I completely agree.
- dunlop, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20Finally somehting to turn my Wii on for. Course I have to beat Bioshock first. Damn you wife and kids taking away from my playing time :P
- dugbay, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20have you been living in a hole?
- Tippis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18Yes, but you have to tilt your head (and your TV) to get it...
- notlenny2, on 10/10/2007, -3/+18Perhaps what you are missing is that the Wii appeals to people like me, who only have 45 minutes to 2 hours to play every day and want something that is just fun. What do i care about graphics? I have a 5 year old 25" SD TV. I've played xbox 360 and PS3 and the control interface for the Wii is just more fun. I would rather play the simple pitch and hit baseball on Wii Sports than fumble with 12 buttons while getting my ass handed to me on the Halo 3 beta. Wii is the most user friendly and fresh system.
- TheNeonNinja, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15Yeah I don't really get these reviews either. Pretty much all of them say that Prime 3 is better than the first two, so why is it getting lower reviews than the previous installments?
- Jeffler, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14I disagree.
- Zippo, on 10/10/2007, -8/+19Well, at least your Mom's basement is nice.
- AnteChronos, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11"Is it coming out soon"
-----
If by "soon" you mean "tomorrow", then yes, it is. - kavery, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11I spy with my third eye a PS3 fanboy.
- dunlop, on 10/10/2007, -3/+14You are complaining about the score that is in the mid 90's ?!?!?!Fanboy much?
- Lamtd, on 10/10/2007, -9/+20I'm saving for a PS3, but I have to say that's the one game that makes me consider buying a Wii.
- Shawn4168, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11The trick to the shield bash, I discovered, isn't to "jab" the nunchuck forward, rather, you need to "push" it forward in a much slower and smoother manner. Ever since I figured that out, it's worked every time for me.
- shadokast, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11Would you kindly finish Bioshock and not pay attention to your wife and kids.
- Hoinah, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11Yeah, both of them are gems artistically.
They're also two very different types of games.
Bioshock's art was meant for a compelling psychological dystopia.
Metroid's art was meant for an amazingly vast and scientific era.
Really hard to compare them. - Sirocco, on 10/20/2007, -1/+11>> "I highly doubt it will fundamentally "change how FPS games will be played on consoles.""
Well sure. Without the Wii's unique controls the other consoles can't hope to emulate that experience. - championchap, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Thats a very glass half empty approach.
Just be happy that Metroid 3 looks to be a fantastic game! - championchap, on 10/10/2007, -7/+17you didn't get excited about Twilight Princess? :'(
- KAMiKAZOW, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12You forgot the URL: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/24117.html
- wes00mertes, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Nobody else is excited for Cruis'n????
- Jaysunli, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13My Wii has been sitting in dust for too long, I'm glad this game is finally out.
- Shanobi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+101up: 9 "It's (as if) the best title from six years in the future fell through a time warp."

Screw multiplayer in Metroid.
And hey, Bioshock and Metroid will both duel it out in all their single player glory for game of the year. - Shaflugi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Buy a Wii and save up for a PS3 for when it actually has some games.
- R3Dirkulous, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9they actually said in the article that even in comparison to the 360 and ps3, the graphics still look amazing
- JaybeasCorpus, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Did you even read the review?
- directive0, on 11/07/2007, -1/+10After playing through medal of honor: vanguard in one sitting I can confirm that I felt NO "gorilla arm" syndrome. Infact, for the most part my right hand rests on my knee throughout the game. Based on my first hand experience I can only conclude you either:
A) have never used a Wii for FPS in an extended period and are simply making assumptions, or
B) grew up on Luna and as such operating a very light plastic remote in Earth's gravity is especially strenuous for you. - Hoinah, on 10/10/2007, -0/+927th Is the shipping date, so maybe, but very, very doubtful. It will be in stores Tuesday
