- mcsia, on 10/09/2008, -1/+36Dugg for "bones that can feel"
- jackharvest1, on 10/09/2008, -3/+36Mario needs to just turn loose on him during a sports match. That's when he's smallest.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/09/2008, -4/+34You couldn't fit this all on one page?
..oh that's right, it's Games Radar. - Doomsan, on 10/09/2008, -1/+26A giant Bowser in a hot tub is just ridiculous, what where they thinking with Sunshine?
- Mydnyte, on 10/09/2008, -5/+30Princess must be slowly getting hotter for him to be slowly getting bigger...
- Ismith988, on 10/09/2008, -7/+28Princess is in another castle!
- darkyplasma, on 10/09/2008, -1/+13I'm surprised Mario hasn't killed Bowser yet.
- inactive, on 10/09/2008, -1/+13Oh man. That baby mario game was amazing. I remember going into one of those tunnels, bouncing an egg off the wall like 6 times in a row and catching it again and doing the same thing with all my other eggs to build up a powerful arsenal.
Good times... - trixyfox, on 10/09/2008, -0/+12It was the shrooms.
- FredFredrickson, on 10/09/2008, -0/+11Yoshi's Island. Indeed, an excellent (egg-cellent?) game.
- RobotKeaton, on 10/09/2008, -0/+11It's not that bad. They put a decent amount of content on each page. God knows how many sites would've gone for a slide show.
- KenSPT, on 10/09/2008, -0/+10Yet no matter how big or small Mario is, poor Goombas are still defenseless ...
- StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -0/+8What's Braid got to do with this?
- bouncyman, on 10/09/2008, -0/+7New Super Mario Brothers was for the DS.

Super Mario Sunshine was for the Gamecube.

I liked New SMB for DS alot... Sunshine not so much... but both definitely worth trying. - shutaro, on 10/09/2008, -0/+7It's coming after Super Mario MMORPG.
- RobotKeaton, on 10/09/2008, -0/+7I got a bone that can feel.
- KSUdesigner, on 10/09/2008, -0/+6New super mario brothers is on the DS. Mario Sunshine on the Gamecube.
- jonr, on 10/09/2008, -0/+6I'm so glad somebody did this research!
- dragon76, on 10/09/2008, -3/+9I actually liked Sunshine a lot more than Mario 64. I'd REALLY like to see a sequel to Super Mario Bros. 2 where the gang returns to Subcon.
- morogolus, on 10/09/2008, -1/+6Dugg for not being about the election
- BowieX, on 10/09/2008, -1/+6That's a slightly inaccurate summary...
- StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -0/+5This is where internet people actually being able to see my Nintendo pixel-art tattoos would clear up any confusion.
- internetcoward, on 10/09/2008, -0/+5I hope you are joking Goblin.
- SleezyG, on 10/09/2008, -0/+4Ask Peach
- JakeyG14, on 10/09/2008, -0/+4http://cardboardmonocle.com/blog/fxsuits/goomba.jp ...
And thank God for that. - SpectralSounds, on 10/09/2008, -1/+4Super Mario MMORPG .....
*drools* - moorehouse, on 10/09/2008, -1/+4There are a few Mario games here that I've never even heard of before. The new super mario brothers? Super Mario Sunshine? What platforms are these for?
- erichw1504, on 10/09/2008, -3/+6It's a Nintendo franchise, what do you expect?
- GutterMoo, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3Why did you bother to reply when the answer was already given, like 3 times.
- nesagwa, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3DS and Gamecube.
Most people think Sunshine sucks, but I enjoyed it alot. It took Mario 64 and improved the concept ten fold. It has a tropical theme similar to Mario World and Yoshi's Island. What most people dont like are the water pack stuff. I thought it added a nice mix of platforming elements, especially with the numerous levels that strip it away and make you play Mario 64 style levels. - theGerhard, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3You race a koopa in Mario 64, but i dont remember a racing goomba. then again, its been forever since i played that game. the turtle's name was Koopa the Quick, if memory serves... and i served his ass by using the teleport.
- diadem2, on 10/09/2008, -1/+4It's the mushrooms, maaaaaaan
- Perch, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3God I know, I would love if everything were presented on one unbroken page. Personally I love all my magazines on one long piece of parchment that I can slowly unravel while taking a three hour crap.
- aterimperator, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3I dunno, I always wondered more about how peach is the mother of the child...
- FredFredrickson, on 10/09/2008, -0/+2Throw in the various cartoons as well and you've got a ton of creative departments who seemingly had no clear idea of a standard sizing for Mario : Bowser ratios.
- danwallace, on 10/09/2008, -0/+2He's gonna go all Benoit.
- ScottRTL, on 10/09/2008, -1/+3Isn't it obvious? Bowser sometimes gets into a bag of mushrooms...
- inactive, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2At least the cake wasn't a lie, though.
- braves01, on 10/09/2008, -0/+2Not a great article, but man those Mario Golf models are ugly as sin.
- inactive, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2Better warn the koopa kids!
- diggggggerrr, on 10/09/2008, -2/+4Loud noises!
- inactive, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2Sunshine only TRULY shined when FLUDD was taken away from you. That was 3D platforming at its BEST! That said..it pissed me off A LOT!
- kiffar, on 10/09/2008, -2/+4If you squint your eyes when looking at the pixilated Mario & Bowser for the Super Mario RPG..you can see it clearly.
- merreborn, on 10/09/2008, -1/+3It's all about gameplay, and what's right for each specific game.
A small bowser would have been lame in Mario 64. A huge bowser just wouldn't fit in Mario Kart.
So, yeah, it's mildly amusing to observe bowser's changing size, but enforcing a size ratio across all games would take away from the experience. - KSUdesigner, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1Especially when you copied my reply word for word, just adding "and" and "is."
- matt.rubin, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1I miss mario, Wish i can find a wii.
- darkyplasma, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1Whoops! It was a koopa, sorry guys. lol
- MajinAku, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1Mario would be out of a job then! When's the last time you've seen him do any "real" plumbing?
- picalicious, on 10/09/2008, -1/+2yawn
- scojerroc, on 10/09/2008, -1/+2"They had the technology, they rebuilt him etc insert tired Six Million Dollar Man reference here."
you either say "insert tired reference" or you actually insert a tired reference. you shouldn't do both. -
