- almostM, on 10/25/2007, -1/+63Twilight Princess was great and everything, but it was still developed as a GameCube game. Seeing how Mario Galaxy was developed specifically for the Wii, I think downgrading the game to port it over to the GC would not give the game its proper justice.
- totorototoro, on 10/29/2007, -8/+42Looks like a lot of fun.
Surprised that Mario Sunshine got such a high score though-I thought that game was a bit of a disappointment overall. - theragu40, on 10/26/2007, -1/+34That is one of the worst analogies ever come up with.
- almostM, on 10/28/2007, -3/+32Here's a summary:
perfect balance (in terms of controls)
a game that anyone can play
fun to just watch someone play
boss fights are fun
good difficulty; increases as you go into later levels
you're always looking forward to what's going to happen next
every "gamer" should play it - metapop, on 10/24/2007, -2/+28we don't have a clue what you're talking about.
- dagamer34, on 10/29/2007, -1/+24Look, Sunshine wasn't the greatest thing since sliced bread, but that doesn't mean it sucked. Give credit where credit is due, the game was still worth the $50 I paid for it.

- Klak, on 10/25/2007, -4/+22worthless without a review
- inactive, on 10/25/2007, -2/+18Obviously, you aren't familiar with Famitsu.
- inactive, on 10/25/2007, -1/+16Your mom is "soo 20 years ago" too, but I'm still hittin it
- neonhomer, on 10/28/2007, -1/+161UP has some info: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3163928
"The game takes place in a 3D space where you could be walking on the ground or upside down. Normally that would look like it is difficult to control, but you can play this instinctively. The balance is just perfect and it is a game anyone can really play."
"Gimmicks and actions using the game's unique gravity, and fun boss fights definitely delivers on the Mario name. It is even just fun to watch if you are not playing."
"The game's pacing is very good, you get hooked more and more. I am glad that the game is not too easy or too difficult. Collecting the star piece by pointing the Wiimote is already fun in itself."
"The excitement of Mario 64 is back! Lots of features that are perfect for the Wii, and you get addicted wanting to know what kind of obstacles await you in the next stage. Difficulty gradually increases and the map layout is great. Every game fan should play this game." - JayD16, on 10/25/2007, -1/+16Isn't saying Twilight Princess got the Wii treatment a little more accurate?
- inactive, on 10/25/2007, -1/+15I agree.
- theragu40, on 10/29/2007, -4/+16Hey AlmostM - clearly you're the owner of this site. Please link to an original source or something, since your blog obviously can't take the heat of 50 diggs.
- Dgen_X, on 10/25/2007, -1/+13SMS was disappointing if compared to Mario 64...
If judged independently it seems like a much better game. My only issue with it is that the 'levels' didn't vary much from each other...water...sand...sun...repeat. - Genjeta, on 10/25/2007, -1/+13Yea, ditto to what almostM said, and also, you're an idiot. Putting this game on an old gen system would be an insult to the Wii.
- Dhekke, on 10/27/2007, -4/+16Ever thought that's because Nintendo doesn't make bad games?
- metapop, on 10/25/2007, -2/+13so are zelda games more like pink floyd or zeppelin albums?
- NaziHatinChimp, on 10/24/2007, -1/+12Yeah every time I play Mario I can't help but to think of radiohead.
- Sethbacca, on 10/27/2007, -2/+12Since when should they if the game is as good as they say?
- NSMike, on 10/27/2007, -3/+12Having never played Mario 64, but played the hell out of SMS, I would agree 100% with your comment. I loved Sunshine.
- modix, on 10/25/2007, -2/+11Have you played it yet? They have and made their judgment.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 11/03/2007, -0/+8How dare you say that about my mother!!
- rikwakefield, on 10/27/2007, -1/+9I knew you wouldn't let me down Mario! Now if only I could find somewhere that had the Wii in stock!!
- metapop, on 10/25/2007, -0/+7are you sure about that?
- o0joshua0o, on 10/27/2007, -1/+8Same here. I played Sunshine before I played 64, and I loved every minute of it.
- Synn, on 10/25/2007, -1/+8Not a surprise.
- harreola, on 10/25/2007, -1/+8Speaking of Sunshine, I remember when it got a 10/10 from Gamespot when it first came out, which then they later (months later) changed to a more realistic score. I'll wait for the user reviews thank you.
- SimonGray, on 10/24/2007, -2/+9implying "Famitsu always gives Nintendo good reviews, so why is this a surprise?"
- Shaflugi, on 10/24/2007, -4/+10Why digg him down? Nintendo rarely makes bad games, just like Valve and other great developers.
- Haohmaru, on 10/25/2007, -2/+8SMS played more like a side game to me. Like something you'd play in a bonus level.
- InfiniteNothing, on 10/27/2007, -2/+8I liked it. It had Yoshi.
- number8888, on 10/25/2007, -6/+11What no 40/40? I thought if any game would get a perfect score this would be it.
- inactive, on 10/25/2007, -3/+8Since when does NiGHTSChao ever say anything in a Nintendo-related story that's not pointlessly negative?
- antitab, on 11/03/2007, -1/+6(USER WAS BURIED FOR THIS POST)
- darkNiGHTS, on 10/27/2007, -0/+5No, by logic Famitsu is in bed with Sony.
- JayD16, on 10/25/2007, -0/+5So is Ummagumma Majora's Mask?
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/25/2007, -1/+5That "fossil" is pretty much the only thing generating a positive cash flow to Sony's game division at the moment.
- trib4lmaniac, on 10/29/2007, -5/+9I stopped caring when they gave Nintendogs a 40/40.
- tchawla, on 10/25/2007, -0/+4Not to mention, graphics are also about style, not just pure rendering quality.
- dxprog, on 10/25/2007, -1/+4It'd be stupid to port the game over to previous gen hardware that has been outdated for going on a year. It'd be one thing if this were a third party game, but Nintendo has the interest of moving Wii's.
And also what almostM said. - Ignitedude, on 10/25/2007, -0/+3The most anticipated game of 2007? You're damn right.
- ancillarydrone, on 10/25/2007, -0/+3Have you seen the videos for Super Mario Galaxy? It looks as good as a lot of 360 games. It's not unfair to make a comparison with the 360 and PS3 as long as you dont expect HD resolution from the Wii.
- metapop, on 10/25/2007, -4/+7hmm... are you sure you've actually heard the 2 bands i'm talking about? they're completely different. floyd are psychedelic space-rock with some progressive rock elements in there, lots of musical experimentation. david gilmour's/roger waters' voices in most cases are very minimal, whereas robert plant's (led zeppelin) voice was raw, loud, screaming... led zeppelin were considered "heavy metal" when they first came out, and have very heavy blues influences, as well as mystical elements with folk instruments. they are almost nothing like each other, and to suggest led zeppelin somehow ripped off pink floyd makes you a dumbo. besides, i was being sarcastic, mocking the comparison between radiohead and super mario brothers.
- nicko68, on 10/25/2007, -2/+5I think it's great that Sony is sill supporting their previous gen. Not everyone cares about moving up to the next gen, and with millions of PS2 out in the wild, Sony would be stupid to abandon them. I'm thinking of getting Rock Band and possibly GHIII for the PS2. Those are games that don't need the latest super leet graphics.
- inactive, on 10/25/2007, -3/+6i think this dude is from texas
- sunyata322, on 10/25/2007, -1/+4Who needs a link to the actual article when you could get 2 paragraphs of blogspam?
- KingGoonie, on 10/25/2007, -7/+10Well... the difference may be that people are actually buying a Wii as opposed to not many people buying a PS3..
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2Sure it is. It's -4
- Fraff5, on 10/26/2007, -0/+2How about we stop comparing games to bands?
