- itssteve112, on 10/30/2009, -2/+36How did those awesome concept artworks turn into those disappointingly ugly screenshots?
- MonkeyFit, on 10/30/2009, -5/+30They're developing it for the Wii
- rromansanturio, on 10/30/2009, -1/+22Is it ok if I don't like it?
- SasaLukac, on 10/30/2009, -1/+21the concept artwork looks promising, but the screenshots don't...
- TheInimitable, on 10/30/2009, -6/+22"Epic Mickey" is the project working title.
Epic fail! - nixpix66, on 10/30/2009, -1/+8For those of you curious, and that followed this earlier, the concept art didn't quite pan out to what they wanted because Disney had boundaries. See the comparison between the two, as well as the article, here: http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/29/spector-explains ...
- JDLamb88, on 10/30/2009, -1/+8Then maybe you shouldn't have bought it for him :P
- JDLamb88, on 10/30/2009, -2/+8Such a sad truth.
- monkeyrun, on 10/30/2009, -1/+6A nice way to bring Oswald rabbit and the other retro characters back...
- AlexSelby, on 10/30/2009, -1/+5The game is still early in development.
- MonkeyFit, on 10/30/2009, -1/+5I know, this game looks like it could be an awesome game. At least the concept sounds cool. But the screenshots are just...ugly. If only they could release it for something like the ps3 or 360, or even the PC and tighten up the graphics.
- Shaflugi, on 10/30/2009, -1/+5Picky, picky. I'm not even interested in the game, and the graphics look just fine to me. Maybe not the individual models with the white background, but you're never going to see them like that in-game, anyways.
- Halsfield, on 10/30/2009, -1/+5The kid from the commercials who will eat anything ?
- jaamzw, on 10/30/2009, -1/+4eh. it would look nicer. never get played
- rdolishny, on 10/30/2009, -1/+3There is some concept art that is stunning, one of the beach landing scenes is my desktop.
http://www.nunoxei.com/2009/08/02/steamboat-willy- ... - SpeedSteamBoat, on 10/30/2009, -2/+4The concept art looked really awesome and promising. I get that Disney had limitations, but even some of the stuff that is attempting to remain mostly faithful to the concept art just looks... bad. I mean, some of this looks shockingly bad. Bad even for a Wii game, which is really disappointing IMHO.
- AlexSelby, on 10/30/2009, -1/+3Super Mario Galaxy would like a word with you.
- gopy, on 11/01/2009, -0/+2I always laugh when people try to make Mickey Mouse look BADASS. C'mon. Its Mickey.
- 33PercentGod, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2Way to focus on a typo rather than my actual question. Very productive and helpful.
- TeaBaggins, on 10/30/2009, -3/+5 I just read the Game informer write up and I am really excited about this game. One of my all time fav games is Castle of Illusion (16 bit era Disney in general is top notch but not being based on a movie I give this one top billing) and Disney should really push devs hard for quality product again. I also learned that abc/disney traded a sportscaster Al Michaels to NBC for the rights to Oswald Rabbit. Talk about deal of the century. This IP is a license to print money and all they had to give up was a 61 year old who could be replaced with a monkey and laser pointer.
- AlexSelby, on 10/30/2009, -2/+4The game revolves around a painting mechanic. It'd work on PC, but on PS3 and 360 it'd suck.
- bboyjkang, on 11/05/2009, -0/+1I remember how Mickey showed up for only, like, 10 seconds at the end of Kingdom Hearts 1
I'm guessing that it costs a fortune to license him, so his appearance had to be as short as possible - makkura, on 10/30/2009, -1/+2That's a great idea but where did you find a version big enough for a decent wallpaper? That link only has a tiny image.
- Ashkc88, on 10/30/2009, -1/+2Game Informer? Don't tell me you have an edge card...
- ZombieSociety, on 10/30/2009, -3/+4And who's Mikey?
- AlexSelby, on 10/30/2009, -1/+2Yes but neither of them have an established audience yet or have proven technology. Natal's technology looks great but how it would work in this game is a different question. As for the PS3 Motion Wand, if the RE5 Alternate Edition is anything to go by, traditional controls seem awkward (holding Dualshock in one hand, wand in the other) Of course the game may be ported to those systems in the future, but for the moment the Wii is the ideal console for it.
- kaferine, on 10/30/2009, -1/+1It looks like it might be fun. I'd try it.
- CaptainM4d, on 10/30/2009, -4/+4This looks like an N64 game.
- BeBigs, on 10/30/2009, -1/+1I remember playing Micky Mouse Adventures on the Sega Genesis...
- 33PercentGod, on 10/30/2009, -3/+2I have to ask. Why do they call it "Epic Mikey"? Is it being developed by Epic Games and this is just the unannounced title for it or something?
- Xtortion08, on 10/30/2009, -5/+4It's a Wii game they all look like *****!
- SomeRandomGuy, on 10/30/2009, -3/+2"Artworks"?
Way to go, VGChartz Submission Monkey. - SirBruce, on 10/30/2009, -8/+6It's a Wii, so the graphics are pretty poor.
- TeaBaggins, on 10/30/2009, -5/+3wow, really? You really didn't notice in the month of internet hoopla that the game was called Epic Mickey?
- TheRealDj, on 10/30/2009, -4/+2You realize both 360 and PS3 are having motions controls by next year, and both showed painting demos at last year's E3?
- GrammerPants, on 10/30/2009, -4/+2I loved the nes game as a kid and the snes game as a teen, I look forward to this.
- BigE89, on 10/30/2009, -8/+5I want to see a new Kingdom Hearts on the PS3, not this *****
- SaintAleczandah, on 10/29/2009, -4/+0Dugg for Hades.
- xyz14, on 10/30/2009, -5/+1Too bad it`s wii exclusive :( I want it on pc.
- mikek814, on 10/29/2009, -7/+2may get it for my son, my 5 year old is tired of looking at Mad World violence.
- evanft, on 10/30/2009, -6/+1I wish they was a PS3/360 game instead.
- maximm, on 10/30/2009, -8/+2All these fancy graphics cards and software and yet you still see polygons on simple games. The screen shots are terrible, i could get the same quality using my ati mach64 running tombraider 1 in texture mode. 1997.
- Atom, on 10/30/2009, -19/+13For ***** sake will people stop saying Epic, Fail, and any combination of the two. It's the internet equivalent of brah. It makes you sound like a tool. Disney included.
- elgefe02, on 10/29/2009, -8/+1Surely looks Nice!
- Yaanu, on 10/30/2009, -11/+2He means the people in the comments sections of major gaming blogs.
