- charm803, on 11/19/2008, -4/+195The problem with PETA is that while their intentions are good, their actions are not. They are condoning violence and lack of respect.
Hurling flour at Lindsay Lohan to prove a point is retarded.
So they don't want anyone to treat animals badly, yet they have no problem treating HUMANS badly. PETA can suck it. - theberlindoctor, on 11/19/2008, -12/+155what the *****. Does peta want to stop other animals from eating other animals? Wolves, bears, etc? These people are mentally ill.
- maracle2, on 11/19/2008, -11/+149***** PETA
- jfdolier, on 11/20/2008, -11/+116If God didn't want us to eat animals, then why did he make them out of meat?
- linkmandx, on 11/19/2008, -1/+79PETA vs. Cooking Mama.

Animals - SpectreFire, on 11/20/2008, -6/+78Cooking Mama just made PETA look like a bunch of douches picking on the friendly retarded kid.
- WhereAmI, on 11/19/2008, -10/+75For every turkey not eaten I shall eat two.
- T8erT0T, on 11/20/2008, -2/+61When an organization starts feuding with a two dimensional character, it is time for a serious evaluation. PETA has officially turned into the belligerent drunk at the party who starts fights with the wallpaper.
- 0phatpat0, on 11/20/2008, -5/+60Yes, PETA suck...
But, hurling anything at Lohan, to prove a point or not, gets both a chuckle and a thumbs up from me. - Atomic05, on 11/20/2008, -0/+47And they were delicious.
- iSeven, on 11/19/2008, -4/+47Damn... now I want some In-and-Out burger.
- WhereAmI, on 11/19/2008, -4/+45Don't you remember? Futurama showed us that you can teach a lion to not eat meat.
- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -9/+47***** YOU PETA!! ***** YOU... now I have to put on some pants and walk to the nearest McDonald's restaurant.
I'm hungry. - mllawso, on 11/20/2008, -3/+40Considering gorillas eat meat, and that our bigger brains require that we eat more protein per kg of body mass than any other animal, I would say you made a good argument for eating meat. Yes, our culture might eat too much fatty meat to be healthy, but humans have lived for thousands of years eating other animals, and I fail to see a reason to stop now.
- jingwei, on 11/19/2008, -2/+39Leave Mama alone!
- inactive, on 11/19/2008, -4/+36but not as much as Peta.
They suck and they're ruthlessly efficient at sucking. - Ganpachi, on 11/20/2008, -1/+32I have not eaten over 9000 turkeys in this last hour alone. what now, bitch?
- Spoomeister, on 11/20/2008, -1/+32Remind me - where can I find PETA free-range animal habitats, PETA wildlife preserves, PETA brand vegan food, PETA animal shelters...
...oh, that's right, you can't, because they're hypocrites who enjoy being angry attention whores more than actually helping their cause. - ridestp, on 11/20/2008, -0/+28http://letmegooglethatforyou.com/?q=cooking+mama
- willrs, on 11/20/2008, -3/+31i love bacon
- RobotBuddha, on 11/20/2008, -1/+27Your entire family is made out of meat.
- themystif, on 11/20/2008, -2/+28That is not just what PETA is about. They're against medical advances that use animals, they're against any use of animals to help humans.
- Gman1223, on 11/20/2008, -0/+26"Cough" "Cough"
/Lion - hrpmike, on 11/20/2008, -0/+26Can't argue with that logic.
- mllawso, on 11/20/2008, -2/+27Oh, and:
Meat is tasty murder. - jasmus, on 11/20/2008, -1/+25But they leave Big Game Buck Hunter, and the 800 variants of "shoot teh anumalz!" games alone.
Smart move, PETA. - Autodidaddict, on 11/20/2008, -4/+26The problem with people bitching about PETA is that while their intentions are good, their arguments are not.
Hurling flour at Lindsay Lohan as the only example of why PETA alienates many individuals worldwide that normally would be open and receptive to their general message but instead only become focused on media-saturated symbolic empty gestures is pretty weak considering how many substantive better examples there are.
The point is, there are a lot of people that do care about animals and are against inhumane for-profit operations like corporate slaughterhouses, puppy mills, illegal pet trade, dog/***** fighting, etc. But when you start calling any omnivore a criminal or monster just because millions of years of human evolution have shaped our species to gain sustenance from both plant and animal sources is extreme, off-point, and undermines the credibility of the entire operation and movement. - BlueTunicLink, on 11/20/2008, -1/+22and the RIAA while you're at it
- willrs, on 11/20/2008, -3/+23PETA thinks that they are BETTER THAN MAMA!
- CrushThemTorg, on 11/20/2008, -1/+21You can't own property, man.
- mllawso, on 11/20/2008, -2/+20You're right, we don't "have" to eat meat. We just do it because it's easier and cheaper to maintain a healthy diet with meat. It also doesn't hurt that it tastes good.
Oh, and about my previous comment: chimpanzees eat meat, and are our closets animal cousins, not gorillas. - jgzman, on 11/20/2008, -1/+19mattyx: Why so defensive? The same reason we attack religion, but are OK with Atheism. The same reason we attack LOTS of stuff on digg, and leave other stuff alone.
Bacon-eating types don't care what you eat. They eat bacon. They like it. That is all.
Some vegetarian types are the same. They eat vegetables. They like it. That is all.
PETA, among others, seem more concerned with what OTHER people eat. That's when it becomes an issue. Any time you try to impose your opinions on other people, digg will be quick to jump you for it. - devin_mm, on 11/20/2008, -0/+17I can but I'm not a pennyless hippy!
- Bith8654, on 11/20/2008, -0/+16How the hell have I never seen that website before? It's amazing!
- mllawso, on 11/20/2008, -1/+16I see the symbolic meaning of your actions, however that's not meat you're eating.
- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -1/+16Life eats life. Get used to it - or be eaten.
- conradtjbass, on 11/20/2008, -2/+16***** PETA... So far they have had no good suggestions, especially considering that I am NOT going to eat icecream made from human breastmilk. Ever since they suggested that, they lost all credibility they may've once had.
- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -1/+15lern2omnivore
- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -1/+15If they didn't want to be killed for their meat, maybe they should have considered evolving to a point that THEY could engineer machines to kill us instead.
- askantik, on 11/20/2008, -1/+15Amen. As a vegan, I'm ashamed that against my will people often associate me with PETA. PETA is to vegans/vegetarians like the neo-con evangelicals to the Christians-- they're not all that bad!
- kjd84, on 11/20/2008, -2/+15Whats wrong with shooting animals?
- Gosunkugi, on 11/20/2008, -2/+15Yes, but what does Kirby think of all of this?
- whiteknives, on 11/20/2008, -2/+15Where's Maddox when you need him?
- thelostviking22, on 11/20/2008, -1/+13PETA, in my opinion, needs a huge lay-off of its workers and hire people that aren't such douchebags.
- Ganpachi, on 11/20/2008, -2/+14I believe the counterpoint to your query would be, "are you any better than an animal in the wild?"
It is also, incidentally, the same line of thought that effectively invalidates the "OMG THE GAYS WANT TO LEGALIZE BESTIALITY AND MARRY THEIR TURTLEZ! ". - Y0tsuya, on 11/20/2008, -0/+12But they seem oblivious to their degree of suckitude, based on my impression of the sucky ads and statements they put out.
- kogeki, on 11/20/2008, -1/+13***** PETA. And I'm a vegetarian. If you call yourself a true animal lover you cannot support PETA. Do your research.
- kjd84, on 11/20/2008, -0/+12It was part of an animal though so it still counts.
