First the decision to publish Platniumgames' "Madworld" and now Voltage Software's "Conduit." If they are successful in their decisions, I think well see more Third party developers follow their lead, and more smaller third party developers willing to take a chance on the Wii by developing software without having the promise of a publisher off hand.

The game doesn't look unique at all, and in fact, looks about the same as the shooters did when the ps2 was first released. I'm sure the wii-mote will make it fun for a few minutes, but that doesn't change the fact it looks mediocre and dated. Very very dated.

I'm not writing the game off on graphics, I'm just saying it's a stretch to say the screens are beautiful. Hopefully it'll have killer gameplay...maybe...
- Smyley, on 03/21/2009, -0/+11Any other wii owners realize that when you take ingame screenshots (SSBM, Animal crossing) the graphics come out pixelly on your computer screen? The games really don't have bad graphics. The images just don't transfer over 100%. I think that may be the case here.

It may not compare with big budget 360 and PS3 games, but hey, it looks better than Halo 2. If 360/PS3 designers started programming games like High Voltage did the Conduit, we could have games with photorealism befor ethis generation is up. - Smyley, on 03/21/2009, -1/+10Halo ? - dvd101x, on 03/21/2009, -1/+7Yeah that's right, the point of this game is the engine they are using, it has some bumpmaps, reflection maps, etc. So you can't see a difference when it is static. It looks much better with motion and ligthing.
The sad thing is that you never see those textures on Wii games, only a little in Dewy's adventure and maybe Super Mario Galaxy. - neonoodle, on 03/21/2009, -3/+9um, ok. nobody is stopping you and nobody really cares what you think of the Wii. Calling it a failure in any context is silly since it's outselling all the other consoles on the market.

If you want good graphics, play PC games instead of buying the over priced pieces of junk that are the console games of Xbox/PS3. At least the Wii is doing what the other consoles are not, and targeting larger audiences and still being relevant to technology. The Xbox and PS3 are doing NOTHING new and will eventually be absorbed into PC gaming anyways.

- Jelga, on 03/21/2009, -0/+5Yeah the screenshots are alright by wii standards, but they don't really do the game justice. I want to see the game in action, I want to know how the controls handle. I like how the colors aren't bland like a lot of FPSes seem to be though, but that doesn't necessarily make the graphics any better.

Don't see why everyone has their panties on when talking about Wii vs PS3/Xbox360, these consoles are aimed at different people, obviously the Wii doesn't have graphics comparable to PS3/360.
