- Frozenfuryblade, on 11/14/2008, -4/+35But wait. It's on the Wii. Must be kiddie.
/sarcasm - sweeneypng, on 11/15/2008, -5/+27It looks like it might be difficult to actually see what is going on. The solid blocks of black white kind of blend into each other.
- Rikushix, on 11/15/2008, -3/+16I'm really, REALLY looking forward to this. I'm not a Nintendo fanboy, but there's only so much Brawl and Guitar Hero you can play...I'll be happy to get something really dark and violent on my Wii.
- IntangibleGrasp, on 11/16/2008, -0/+13i guarantee it looks much clearer whilst moving
- digifreak642, on 11/16/2008, -0/+12You can shove a sign into someone's face!
- malikye187, on 11/16/2008, -0/+10And suddenly Gary Jules is overplayed.
- Onideus, on 11/16/2008, -1/+8I'm pretty sure 76% of the percentages that you threw out where only 36% accurate. That is of course assuming that I have a leniency of 54% in the calculation.
- ajaxmil, on 11/16/2008, -0/+7God, do I MISS Jet Grind Radio...
RIP Dreamcast. - Rikushix, on 11/16/2008, -0/+7One of the few, probably.
- anagoge, on 11/16/2008, -0/+6Reminds me of Renaissance, starring Daniel Craig: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0386741/
- Drahkar, on 11/16/2008, -2/+8Defend Nintendo's Image? They have always been geared more to less violent games. Sure they have some violent games, but its not their 'Bread and Butter' so to speak.
That being said, since when does not marketing the wholesale slaughter of everything in sight become something one has to defend their image from? I think you need to work on your wording there. Cause either you said something you didn't mean, or you've got a need to seriously reorganize your priorities. - JROXZ, on 11/16/2008, -1/+7Cell Shading RETURNS!!!
- acmaurer, on 11/14/2008, -1/+6SPLAAAAAT! BLAM!
awesome. - anagoge, on 11/16/2008, -1/+6And I find it kind of funny
- anagoge, on 11/16/2008, -1/+6That's gonna be hard on the eyes...
- Otnehs, on 11/16/2008, -1/+5I find it kind of sad
- Endrian, on 11/16/2008, -0/+4Dude, No More Heroes.
Go get it. - themastersb, on 11/16/2008, -0/+4No More Heroes was an awesome game for the Wii purely for its gore. I can only assume this game will be the same.
- smoger, on 11/16/2008, -1/+5so in other words, you automatically assume that kiddie = "bad game", and mad world = "good game" just because it's violent.
great logic. - mycoplasma, on 11/16/2008, -0/+3Meh, Comix Zone will always be my favorite "graphic novel in a game".
- Rockkybox, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2No, he said that 97% of the games are *****, didn't say anything about kiddie; though most fall into both these catergories. He also said that he enjoys the nintendo powerhouse, which could all be classified as kiddie, but are still brilliant games. Plus hes a self confessed rpgmaker; I tip my hat to you good sir.
- FoxOrian, on 11/16/2008, -2/+4One of the things that makes black and white art work in comics is the fact that the distribution of the whites and blacks are thought out through composition, based on where the artist wants your eye to travel to areas of interest.
When that careful composition is thrown away by a 3D free-moving camera, a rendering style like this can become very confusing very fast. The developers are going to have to do some clever tricks to make sure they can always keep your eye focused on areas of interest. - oRocketSurgeryo, on 11/16/2008, -1/+3It's a little hard to distinguish different objects but I'm sure that the pictures hardly do it justice and it wouldn't be hard to distinguish different objects while the camera is moving.
Anyways it's refreshing to have a unique graphics twist such as this, - dontlookleft, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2Again.
Would that song have ever gained fame if it hadn't been in Donnie Darko? - JoeCool1986, on 11/16/2008, -1/+3dugg for whilst
- smoger, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2the art style in this game is fantastic. i just hope that they put as much into the story and gameplay as they did the art direction.
- nshady, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2are the best I've ever had.
- vonbroner, on 11/16/2008, -1/+3Now if I could only find a store that had Wii's on the shelves...
- Tigergrape, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1You have most likely played alot of good SEGA games but just are too stupid to know it. SEGA make alot of games.
- mycoplasma, on 11/16/2008, -2/+3What do you mean 1 mature game out of 100? Mario gets high on 'shrooms and steps on innocent turtles just for fun!
If you did that in real life, they'd lock you up in an asylum!
And don't get me started about those Pokemon! *shivers* - kravex, on 11/17/2008, -0/+1Depends where you live in the world, a lot of places had the gore taken out.
- BuenoCabra, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1The dreams in which I'm dying
- shanesemler, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1This is cool. It isn't the first black and white 3d game though. I worked on a freeware FPS based on the Cube engine. It's called Death Illustrated and you can check it out here: http://templeoftherat.com/di/
- Ryudo2k9, on 11/17/2008, -0/+1This is only published by Sega but developed from Platinum games, all former talent of Clover Studios from Capcom and Devil May cry Series and RE creator Mikami.
So these people in the past made games like Okami,Resident Evil, Devil May cry,Viewtiful Joe ,Godhand.
So safe to say it's in good hands. - tEhKewleSt, on 11/17/2008, -1/+2God I hope not.
- ELCad, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1I've seen a couple stores have them in the last few weeks. Best Buy and Target had them. Today the ToysRUS had a sign that they were in stock. I'm in Baltimore BTW.
- iheartrendering, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1I hear ya dude
- RussellDovey, on 11/17/2008, -0/+1It'd be nice if they were even ATTEMPTING to release this in Australia. Before you breathe a sigh of relief that you aren't affected by this decision, consider where Yahtzee lives, and where he buys his games.
- inactive, on 11/16/2008, -3/+3@drahkar: Nintendo's image have never been kiddier than now with the wii branding, always been kiddie but not like this.
- Twag86, on 11/16/2008, -1/+1Amazing, underrated movie.
- Drahkar, on 11/16/2008, -1/+1@rpgmaker - I won't deny that. But even still their games are entertaining. Regardless though, Since when is making games that are not all blood, gore and slaughter someone a company has to defend? I mean seriously, if that is the direction our society is headed, then we have even bigger problems than most people think.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good M or AO rated game as much as the next guy, but to hint that a company is doing something wrong because their games don't in the majority fall into that category is a little troubling. - inkubusfan, on 11/16/2008, -1/+1badass.
- Rockkybox, on 11/16/2008, -1/+1I'm with you, its like the designers saw the lack of mature games on the wii and decided that make a game thats nothing but blood and gore, the B+G should be there to help tell the story or add to the atmosphere; not just thrown about wily nily
- seansmyth, on 11/14/2008, -7/+7Gotta figure Insane Clown Posse will be in the soundtrack.
- Kwizi, on 12/05/2008, -0/+0I find it hard to tell you
