How am I the first comment here? New Digg=no users :( I hope for the sake of this site that the bury button comes back and the ad "stories" leave the front page.

An asteroid story to go with Digg's meteoric trajectory. Now that the "Digg sucks" comments have tapered off, it turns out that they were the bulk of the comments. LOL

New Digg sucks. I so miss the bury button. Too many people were whining because their pet articles were getting burried, and Digg attention was too hard to monetize. But it still sucks without bury.

Did anyone elses brain hurt after reading this story?
"Scientists said while it was common to witness a single asteroid at such close range it was rare to see known to make such close passes but usually slip by unnoticed. "
Seriously... is it that hard to proof read a story before it goes up?

I am tired of the front page being full of RSS Feed Auto Submits and Spammers. The front page is boring, and I can't take it any more.
I don't have a political motivation, or ulterior motive, other than removing the spam. I am asking for your help, contact me at enfor2001@gmail.com

Since when is an asteroid smaller than my house considered large?

the planet needs an interstellar bitch slap (like whiny digg 4 hatting diggers) to wake it up and force world governments to spend much more than they do now to develop the technology to protect our planet from asteroids and comets.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

These asteroids would have burned up before hitting earth, just like most that pass near us. the article even says so (asteroids smaller than 25 metres would burn up). No story.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

This is sad. Submitted 10 hours and 46 minutes ago, front page for a while and still not one dugg up comment about the actual story.

Earth didn't narrowly avoid being hit by that asteroid.
That asteroid narrowly avoided being roundhouse kicked by Chuck Norris.
joychan21Sep 10, 2010
Chuck Norris applies to everything Lol

"asteroid" is Australian for beer.

From Fox news: Obama fails to keep America safe. Allows asteroid to approach earth. The evidence of his incompetence grows. It's all Obama's fault.
leptonsmusicSep 10, 2010
It really suck that all I hear about is the upcoming elections and not this.
mthokozisialexSep 11, 2010
Would it have been possibly for the asteroid to digg, Digg into oblivion!
