Not likely. In democracies, people toss out the governments when times get tough (whether the government could have done anything about it or not), which is a bloodless way to change regimes. The people of Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Bahrain, Iran don't have that option.

If anything it will solidify the Israelis.
If they become surrounded by regimes that are even more hostile to them, I really don't see them pulling apart.

Every nation in modern times that tried to screw with Israel got their a** kicked.
In fact, some of Israel's territory now was lost when Egypt and the other Islamic countries started a war against Israel. To the victor goes the spoils.

I think you meant "some of Israel's territory was won when"....
Israel had taken control of the entire Sinai peninsula but gave it back to Egypt later in the name of peace.
davidnivenFeb 23, 2011
Yeah, I meant "lost" in the sense that the Islamic nations lost it and is now Israel's current territory.
dudi21Feb 23, 2011
Israel is a democratic country - the government can be replaced in elections without violence. Actualy, no one can stay leader in Israel for 30 or 40 years like in Egypt or Libya.

No doubt Israel, like every other nation, is in for hard times. But it's foolish to think that the revolutions in countries long-suffering under dictatorships is somehow going to manifest in Israel. I don't know what this writer's thinking.

Israel is controlling the world and U.S is there puppets
peppermintpigFeb 23, 2011
It can happen. If the foreign aid dries up then the politicians of Israel will go after each other as the elite withers.

oh look, the next predictable middle-eastern spat is about to start again.........

You don't have to be Nostradamus to realize when people are stripped of there basic needs, while, the few at the top take more and more, you create the perfect recipe for revolution.
