Belligerent little political troll. He and Ahmadinejad are cut from the same stuff - 3rd world despots with big mouths, trying to cause political trouble for the big dogs whenever they can.
kamtsaJul 1, 2011
The sad thing is that the US professional left worship him for his blame-america-first attitude.
rudegarJul 1, 2011

I want to smoke what you got.
daimposterJul 1, 2011
@kamtsa: are you crazy? Just because a very small handful of the EXTREME left in the US "worship him for his blame-america-first attitude" doesn't mean 'THE' US professional left worship him. How many people on MSNBC have praised Chavez?
kamtsaJul 2, 2011
Interesting that you equates MSNBC with the professional left. At least we agree on this one.
russkie69Jul 1, 2011
That's a lie. Nobody worships that prissy-lipped mf. You right wing trolls will say anything. Just say anything, throw it up and see if it sticks. Disgusting. The GOP ruined, that's right, RUINED this country under G.W. Bush. He lied about WMD, dragged us into two wars that can't be won. Dragged us under debt. I hate that Right Wing nutballs even have the nerve to open their stupid lying mouths. Just like this butt head attacking the Left for no reason. Chavez has cancer. That has nothing to do with the political left in this country! What a fool!

Slap my hand, but who cares?
youvandal411vmJul 1, 2011
Hugo gets a lot of heat. Most of the stuff said about him is made up to make him look like an assh**e. Same with Fidel Castro. Don't believe all the horse s**t made up by our government and media. There are some good non biased documentaries about him on Netflix that may change your mind about him being a "Terrorist" or "Cruel Dictator."
russkie69Jul 1, 2011
You are the one living in a dream world. Anyone who suspends a country's constitution, gets rid of the legislation and has himself declare "Patriot for Life," or whatever his ridiculous title is, is a dictator. He imprisons people for just drawing cartoons of him. Anybody who goes after a cartoonist is an awful person. Bad. Bad. Bad.
youvandal411vmJul 1, 2011
Watch some more MSNBC, and mainstream news. Keep eating the s**t our f**ked up Country wants you to believe. Or government knows how to manipulate the systems to get what they want. Look at the 2nd Iraq war. We were bamboozled into supporting that by our Government with the help of the mainstream media trying to make a buck. YOU my friend are the one who is living in a dream.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

I like MSNBC, CNN, Reuters, BBC News, Huffington Post, NPR, etc. I only boycott FOX. How can anybody sit through one episode of Captain Beck is beyond me. Where are you getting your news from, buddy? The guy who does the mail at your office?
youvandal411vmJul 1, 2011
I read about history. Oliver Stone has a good documentary about Chavez. Our government has done the same thing to him they tried doing to Castro.
russkie69Jul 1, 2011
Oliver Stone? Oliver Stone? I shouldn't do this standing up. Oliver Stone?
gavinhudsonJul 2, 2011
I've gone to Venezuela many times over the last 6 years, since first attending the World Social Forum hosted in Caracas. Mr. Chavez has had both a positive and negative on Venezuela and it's important to consider that.
mariocarrascoJul 1, 2011
Poor cancer, it has Hugo Chavez, this is the first time I've felt bad for cancer
russkie69Jul 1, 2011
Good riddance to bad rubbish. A dictator is a dictator. They use torture, intimidation and fear as motivating factors for the people to vote for him. I NEVER would, but I'd end up in jail, or in the jungle waiting for that bullet in the back of my head.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

kamtsaJul 1, 2011
He is dead to me.
norman619Jul 1, 2011
So you're delusional? Understood.
russkie69Jul 1, 2011
I'm not delusional. I know he's not dead, but since cancer has a way of debilitating and killing people, I said, "Good riddance to bad rubbish." Look at Castro, though, he hung on through cancer surgery and everything. Didn't they remove most of his colon? Yuck!
kamtsaJul 2, 2011
Norma, so you say that he is undead to me? You are watching too many B movies. Time to reconnect with reality girlfriend.

I wish Chavez a speedy recovery. It is easy to snipe at Chavez, after all he took control of Venezuela's oil assets with the aim of distributing value to the poorer community, who make up a large portion of Venezuela's population. Am not saying he's perfect, he has his own set of problems, but anyone who understands the history of Venezuela will probably appreciate what he has been trying to do there. This country for far too long has been ruled by an elite class which catered to the U.S needs. We have tried to oust him in a coup by supporting the elite, however by popular demand and the resolve of the poor, he managed to seize power again. We lost on cheap oil & influence, and through our bitter loss, we try to demonize him in the same league as the Iranian leader or North Korean leader.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Let me guess, you are a liberal and you voted for Obama. Socialism everywhere!
russkie69Jul 1, 2011
You are a real creep. You will use any platform to decry your delusional moose dung. Go ahead and vote for the Tea Party. See what happens to your social security and medicare payments. You will be so sorry then.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
cajungalJul 1, 2011
If nothing is done and we continue on the present course Social Security and Medicare will cease to exist because they are unsustainable. The proposal put forth by Paul Ryan for a budget that made Medicare sustainable would not have affected anyone who was already on the program or even 10 years from the age of eligibility for Medicare but it would make necessary changes for the younger people so that once they reached the age of eligibility the program would still be in existence although it would be changed to make it affordable. The Democrats rejected the plan and have demonized the Republicans for even trying to fix the problems and have yet to offer any solutions of their own.

Vulgar liberal posting by russkie. Buried.
russkie69Jul 3, 2011
You are a vulgar right wing hack. Do you really believe that stuff you type? I am so glad that the Tea Party is walking into the buzzing chainsaw. Good riddance to those wackos.
youvandal411vmJul 1, 2011
I see you've don't your research as I have. Propaganda works wonders on the sheep of our society.
gavinhudsonJul 2, 2011
There are a number of good points made here. Firstly, that the cultural and historical context is often lost in the 30 second TV media clips on Venezuela. When Chavez was first voted in, he enjoyed a large following based on the notion that the US was bullying South American countries, which should expect more from free trade and adopt more fair trade or protectionist trading policies. This was in the early Bush years when there was frankly a similar feeling in many places that the US was being a bully. Chavez is flamboyant and was far too effusive with his anti-US rhetoric, I feel. It didn't win him many friends in the US. Since then, Chavez's popularity in Venezuela has declined as well. In fact, there's a lot that he hasn't done well at all. However, I do think that the sentiment to bolster South American trading positions was sincere.

They removed the Chavez from the health tumor. Let's hope the tumor now has the chance for a normal life.

Don't necessarily agree with his politics, but I always enjoy his rhetoric. Whether he's calling Obama an "ignoramus", or referring to Bush as a "clown", I always get a kick out of what he has to say.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

He also taught us that Bush smells of sulfur.
russkie69Jul 1, 2011
That was his lowest moment ever. He was the one who acted like a clown when he could have acted like a statesman. Your hero is a fool who bumbled his way into power and doesn't plan to bumble his way out. The only way he's getting out of office is with a bullet in the head, and most of his people would celebrate. He is a dictator. They are mean people.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Huh? Who's hero? My hero's aren't slimy politicians, whether they are South American Dictators or appointed domestic demagogues.
russkie69Jul 1, 2011
He said that Bush smelled like sulfur during a speech to the UN. He could have talked about the poor in the 3rd World, billions of people who've been displaced by our lopsided global economy and Western Imperialism. Instead he danced around like Kruschev on ecstacy, and that's saying something. No, Chavez is an embarrassment to any nation as a leader. He's all chummy with Iran and N. Korea. He's a total schlemeel. May onions grow in his pupa!Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Wow russkie69, lighten up! I was actually making a joke about his lack of propriety by using irony. Not sure where you got that he was my "hero". And I would say he was more like Khrushchev on a coke binge than on ecstasy.
