Did everyone wear their Planet of the Apes costumes as planned?
PyriteGenieOct 13, 2010
Dugg!
crymtyphonOct 13, 2010
I wanted to tell the miners that, according to the sign-in sheet,
there was one more person with them than could be accounted for.
But the chilean government just ignored me, the right-wing humourless thugs.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

That would have been PERFECT!

Hehe!

Thanks for your contribution.
PyriteGenieOct 13, 2010
Anyone giving the over/under on something "delaying" the rescue so that the current pace is interrupted to the extent that instead of the last miner surfacing at 5am it'll be during prime time?

Don't you feel like a little bitch now that that hasn't happened? Or do you feel like a little bitch because your mommy always called you one?Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Go back to youtube
PyriteGenieOct 14, 2010
Nope. I just note that they managed to "speed things up" so the last guy comes out in PrimeTime. Just as good for the cable news folks -- but better for the miners that the pace got picked up. Little bitch.

Ww...you REALLY are a little bitch. I feel sorry that your parents used you as an expierment...jsut to see how much they could f**k with thier kid.
Honestly...you are NOT worthy of oxygen. You will NEVER enjoy life. So don't try.

"I held onto God's hand, the best hand, and at no point in time … did I doubt that God wouldn't get me out of there."
Good of God to put in the effort to get him out of there!
Terrible shame He thought it necessary to trap all the miners in the first place....
(Hopefully this will teach them all to love Him more)Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

well if you believe in the bible, you would know about something called free will. if you don't, well hey, s**t happens.

God bless the rescue workers and the support crews. What an amazing out come...great news
kanthira3751Oct 14, 2010
YOU ARE RIGHT! This is really great news. Trapped 69 days and after the tireless effort of so many in the rescue operation, it is one by one surfacing to the top. Watch the reunion with their loved ones, and we as plain viewers wipe tears. Incredible. ALL IS POSSIBLE TO BELIEVERS.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

I am so stoked that they are out. If anyone hasn't seen the INCREDIBLY emotional pictures of the ordeal (the rescue) in high res DSLR quality - you need to. So check em out:

#18 was just brought up. Thanks to human efforts and technology a disaster has been averted.
adamclifOct 13, 2010
They look pretty stylin' in those sunglasses!
phydeaux70Oct 13, 2010
A great story of human courage and ingenuity. And a big thanks to NASA for the manufacturing of the rescue unit.
jeflOct 14, 2010
NASA didn't make the rescue unit, was ASMAR a Chilean Navy factory
JohnFerneliusOct 13, 2010
I saw a bit of this on The Early Show this morning. Couldn't believe how good they looked after all that time underground. I know they've been given supplies, but I still never would've guessed they'd be in such great shape.
qwed88Oct 13, 2010
It's nice to hear some good news every now and again. I hope these guys get well compensated for all of this.
breadfredOct 13, 2010
They'll get book deals and film deals. I do not think they will get much on the form of compensation from the company. As far as I understand; the company has been paying their wages while they were down there, but no further promises were made.
bosskeyOct 13, 2010
In fact the mining company is filing for bankruptcy and couldn't afford to mount such a rescue on their own, and pay for both the trapped and safe miners is quite in doubt. The rescue has been funded by other sources such as the government.
spekopuzOct 13, 2010
you're right, by the government and other mining companies that donated equipment, people and machines

That's because those gold bricking bastards stopped mining this whole time!
estradaadrianOct 13, 2010
This actions, that everyone came together and helped rescue this men restores my faith in the human kind. This men are blessed.
kanthira3751Oct 15, 2010
REMEMBER the first 15 days or so................ the miners were left isolated. That 15 days of continued disconcerted search by rescuers, and that piece of paper that said, all are WELL and ALIVE that spurred action, the capsule was made, the tunnel was bored, and everything came into play. Faith was what that miners leader had holding the bunch together. Faith in the leader kept the miners knit together. Faith kept every rescuing mind focussed and the mission was accomplished in view by millions around the world.
beatsbymusicOct 13, 2010
Its wonderful that they were rescued...Some wives were shocked to see other women (mistresses) waiting for their men too. There is even a video showing a fight that broke out between a wife and an alleged mistress....I expect a book or something to come out of this....
Closed AccountOct 13, 2010
No there isn't. There was ONE mistress. And the wife found out days ago and did not come. No fight.
What the f**k did you gain from that lie? Is your life so pathetic that you have to lie to make people pay attention to you, if only for 2 seconds?
mip10110100Oct 14, 2010
"Is your life so pathetic that you have to lie to make people pay attention to you" Mine is... so I'll make a reply to piss you off.

21 of 33 to go! From what I'm reading at least. Lets hope it ends in an awesome day for all involved.

24 of 33 now!
platypusrexOct 13, 2010
Hmmmm...................No beards?
pitbull777Oct 14, 2010
hmm...razors?
platypusrexOct 14, 2010
Shaving is the last thing I would think about if I was stuck in a mine.
bosskeyOct 22, 2010
What if you were stuck in a mine for over two freaking months of beard growth and there happened to be a supply tube big enough for shaving supplies to be sent down? Then what would you think?
Closed AccountOct 13, 2010
Amazing story. It's shows what happens when we work together.
satori3000Oct 13, 2010
now who will Hades hang out with?
kanthira3751Oct 14, 2010
To see trapped survivors after 69 days, I expected the worst. I thought I was really going to feel sorry for each of them I expected bearded, shabby, run down and worn out people. No! I was wrong. They all came up one by one in good shape and not one was himself a nervous wreck. Great guy, you miners. You won over hardship. Great guys, you rescuers. A fantastic
effort. The world celebrates with every one of you.
michaelman77Oct 14, 2010
Miner 33 is out!
invaderprotosOct 14, 2010
33 Chilean miners come out...34 of our more despicable reality TV "stars" go in. That'll teach the idiots some f**king humility.
guynamedlucasOct 14, 2010
Everyone is out now! Including the rescuers!
omeezy4sheezyOct 14, 2010
I genuinely mean no disrespect to any of the miners but there was WAY too much coverage for this story. I understand that it's a critical story and that it should be covered, but for godsake; even my local news network had that 24hr feed of men standing around a hole
nashioOct 14, 2010

It was US Technology that solved the problem!!
scooternrocketOct 14, 2010
Bulls**t - you mean like how American democracy has helped champion freedom around the world !?
digitaldeadstarOct 14, 2010
Glad they all made it out safely. Must've been a horrible ordeal. So many safety issues in regards to the whole mining field. You'd think with us being able to put man on the moon, we could somehow make mining a safer profession.
scooternrocketOct 14, 2010
Its rare to see some real men with real guts who are real heroes, unlike the bulls**t we hear and see about 9/11.
