False, it has been stated by other sources that the Xoom's components are much more modular than the Apple version. One part breaking can be easily remedied by replacing a much smaller component than the whole unit.

Fine, but you can see from the images that the camera is attached to the main system board. Not likely that would be worth replacing if the camera broke. That said, the price of these devices is relatively low compares to portable computing devices of just a few years ago, so replacing them if they break isn't a total disaster. I spent $2500 on a subcompact laptop just 4 years ago that was at the time, similarly the latest and top-of-the-line in portable computing.
