venturebeat.com— Undisputed fact I just made up: The more time we spend online, the dumber and more myopic we get.
Hacker Noah Litvin set out to combat that observable phenomenon with DailyPag.es, an app that wo...

There's so much science supporting what you just said, I don't even know where to start linking to back you up. And yet just because you're a norman, you get downvoted.
When your brain has the opportunity to remember where information is as opposed to what the information is, that's what it'll do.
It's always nice to see people come up with idea's but I just don't see how this is going to work. I mean, from my observations, a book reader will always be a book reader, regardless. Some people would say that they work around the clock but if they're a book reader, they will always read a book when they do eventually get some down time. End of story. That's how it's always been and will continue to be, you either are or your not, and of course, there are the bible pushers.
As for the "Undisputed, observational fact" that the writer made up about the Internet, this always bothers me tons. Think what you want but at the end of the day (no matter how "Jurassic" the Internet can seem sometimes when you read certain site comments, blogs and website content) the fact remains that even the most simplest of people are being exposed to knowledge that they never would of been exposed to before the Internet. It just takes time with some to sink in, and if you believe in evolution, you sure as hell can get your head around what I'm trying to write... "Rome wasn't built in a day"?.
No, the Internet is a master, human growth masterpiece! I do get the "in the box" view that it's causing people to become stupid. I mean, you should of been around something that I would write before I started using the Internet back in 1999... cringeworthy stuff! I'm still nowhere near perfect but I know, within the past couple of years I've become to dependent on spellcheckers and it's just recently started to bother me a ton. I intend to deal with it! But, I believe that the "out of the box" take on the Internet is that it's a beautiful and amazing tool, things just take time in a world full of different people.
The only things I worry about when it comes to the Internet are the usual suspects that ruin everything most times... governments, religions and money. :/

Albert Einstein would beg to differ. Why fill your head with information you could quickly and easily look up? THAT is stupid.

Personally, I think the idea is dumb. But, who knows, a lot of strange (dumb) people out there who might like this.
