Why there is no mention of livejournal.com? According to Wikipedia, Livejournal launched in 1999.

LiveJournal, Blogger, Xanga, Tumblr are relevant, but perhaps not as 'social' as all these other networking sites. :)

Well, just my opinion but I dont think their purpose was for social networking, more of an online journal site. Thus the name, Livejournal

I was on Geocities, yeayer, what about black planet, Hi-5, Bebo. And I was on AOL but msn destroyed that. those were the days, lol we didnt get phone numbers we would get handles.

This is an awful attempt at revising history to further a shallow industry (social media) that sells people nothing. I can't down vote this enough.
