come on... why wont these dumb ass writers learn... laptops can not beat the desktop when you need hardcore computing.

After a point (obviously varies per individual), what you really need is a full-on desktop.
From a personal standpoint, I'm not a fan of these beastly notebooks. Lugging around these things is always something of a risk and something loaded to the gills involves even more. Not to mention some grabby TSA agent or whatnot at the airport.
Plus I bet the thing rips through any battery charge.
Give me a thin light carry about any day. The upcoming ASUS UX21 looks interesting.
(Or there's always the Mac Air.)
