I really like the programs that state they can speed up your computer. They state that they are free. So after downloading them and installing them and running them, they tell you that you have a million errors in your registry. They will fix 10 of them for free but if you want the others fixed you have to send them a small fortune. The ones that cost money seem to be able to detect a lot more errors than the one that are free(IOBIT Advance Windows Care). I really do not see much difference after running it but do so as insurance.

The best one, is to switch to the Mac or to Linux because they have no registry.

When you put Mac beside Linux Linus Torvalds cries. Please don't do that ever again.

You can do a lot to Macs, they just don't use a registry and make it harder to have control. I assume you use a Mac because you don't like to tweak and don't care more control over your OS. Same goes for iOS vs Android. Macs just work since you have less control, which makes it harder for users to break it, Windows 7 works until people like me mess with s**t, which i like to do. Don't worry I'll come bitching in some forum about crappy windows when I break it.

As a IT pro i concur, Windows PCs run fine. untill people start downloading toolbars, coupon programs, and any number of bull$hit programs that are really just backdoors for a whole army of viruses that can pretty much lock you out of your PC, and blow it up with adds. and no matter what apple says, they arn't exempt from this either.

It's idiots like this that keeps apple going.
