It's messed up that the "land of the free" is now more or less covered by an electronic surveillance system Orwell never imagined.

However, I don't really care if I am being monitored. I am not going to hide my dislike and distrust of the government that serves multinationals and banks instead of the people.

If it comes back to "bite me," I am fine with that. I will not be scared into silent compliance.

I love social media, but can anyone explain how (or why?) in the world so many spammers are now following me? What can be the point of these "ghost" followers? I get like a few each and every day from those with very random names such as "3fj37tgsk", etc.

I'm just wondering what the point is. And, btw, is there a more proper place for this sort of discussion?
