Wow... adding more components to make it even more complex and prone to failure. Seriously, give us the memristor already. You won't have to care about that afterward anyway...

I heard a thousand time faster, or storing thousand times more so many times. I haven't seen anything materialized yet. However, I do hold my hope. It's exciting to have a watch that is 100 times faster than current computer, last a week to charge, and projects 3D onto my eye glasses.
It's scary of how my bank can protect me, or other entity to keep my data safe with this power of decrypting everything with ease (sure, need to chain them up).
I also wonder if the government would step in and not allowing them to be produced, because as in the past, super computers are not allowed to be exported for example.
But as time fly by, the definition of super computer changes, and we have been using faster computers as time goes.
So, let's hope in 7 years we'll have a very powerful watch computer. I'll run a few virtual machines on it, and sure, a bunch of servers too.

Why does it feel like the press is reporting about the development of a parallel universe that has its own reality? Seriously, none of the crap written about over the last ten years is here yet. Memristors? Spintronics? Quantum computers? Skycars? Jetpacks? Regrowable teeth? AIDS/HIV cure? Cheap abundant solar power? Linux owning the desktop? Semantic web?
*Yawn* with a capital 'Y', I say. Just put a NHY (not here yet) tag in the headline so I can just skip this b.s. from here on.
