Those Sweds and their society of escalating violence and crime. Eventually treating prisoners as humans rather than the beasts they are is going to turn around on them. One day they will regret it when those prisoners get out and hold decorating contests in the streets.

This covers Intellectual Property rights in the broad sense also for instance genetic patents like Monsanto's. Actually it sort of imposes the broken US patent system, the DMCA and its draconian fines to the rest of the world.
Article 9 impose those obscene US damages

org was originally a US name for non-profit companies.
Any company in any country can use the second level .org name, however many countries have their own second level names for nonprofits in addition to their top level name.
org is easily killed by a US agency as the root dns server for it is under US control.

Remember the days when thousands of poor peasants paid taxes to one fat, slobbery, perverted king who exploited them all. Remember when descendants of this royal class, their sons and daughters took the thrones and abused the generosity and hard work of those peasants, taking and taking. These most "deserving" and ruling class would then make up silly laws to take and take even more, throwing dirty low class peasants into prisons for the sake of "the law". Remember those days. This is an appeal of the sentences not an appeal of their guilt. Legally these are separate issues. If they appealed their guilt I would say they would have a better chance.
Again, this isn't a tech story because it is talking about a court case. It doesn't matter who the court case is about because this sort of thing is happening to other people all the time.
