So basically the ships don't really have as much bandwidth as they want for warfare, though they can usually squeak by, but they still allow a trickle of that for non-official uses when not involved in operations.
Yeah, for a netjunkie or wow player, that's gonna suck. Since they can't even handle the video for the drones, they don't have enough bandwidth to begin with, so be glad you can send an email home.
