The 60's concept of "journalism" needs to be replaced with the old fashioned notion of "reporting". Journalism is either partisan writers trying to "speak truth to power" (a self-serving propoganda phrase if ever there was one), or empty headed cultural taste-making by hipster wannabes. Reporting is what grown up professionals who worked for newspapers used to do, so that their fellow citizens knew facts about important things.

Many times, people "tweet" because they have the ability. And many times, these people have really nothing to say. Ever read the 'tweets' from people? Mostly useless.
Or it's the latest fad. People FIND A REASON to use twitter, whether it's necessary or not.
Food trucks that have overpriced crappy food tweet and people show up and stand in line just because they use twitter. Those trucks just suckered people into buying their crappy food, all due to a false need to use a technology.

Actually, many people use twitter to find a USE for twitter. Of course my argument is good. You are a sucker if you just go by twitter to buy food. You're a sucker. Sounds like you're just that type of person. One who blindly FOLLOWS. A sucker. My point is sound.

Twitter is a good way to find links to full content, to get breaking news and to enjoy the rare and actually funny tweet, but that is about it.
