Tablets and smart phones have basically changed the mobile gaming landscape. It's a very different market now from the one the DS and the PSP launched in.
The PSVita is the one I'm not sure about at the moment it does have far more potential and so long as sony aren't idiots they should be able to get smart phone and tablet games running on it as well so they are in quite a good position with it.

I don't know why but i think that Nintendo will release another handheld soon (unrelated to the 3DS). I really have this feeling that Nintendo's got something creative and portable up their sleeves

"Nintendo will lead innovation again"
Nintendo never did. Everything you think they came up with, was copied from someone earlier. Sony had analog sticks before N64 came out, yet every fanatic keeps claiming Sony copied Nintendo, yet ignores the Vectrex had them 14 years earlier. Immersion had a joystick with rumble built in before the N64. WiiU is pretty much a ripoff of RemotePlay. It infuriates me that people keep giving Nintendo undue creditComment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Innovation is not necessarily just the creation of new but taking old and giving it new life as well. Say what you want about Nintendo but they pioneered the industry which has allowed it to come as far as it has this quickly.
I just hope they keep supporting their systems and creating fun experiences in new (innovative) ways for me to play.

I should add that they pioneered it forward from where Atari left off.

What part of "Sony had analog sticks before N64 came out" didn't you get?
N64's controller first shown to the public: November 24, 1995
PS1 analog controller announced: August 1995
N64 released: June 23, 1996
PS1's analog controller released: April 1996
And Vectrex had it 14 years before either of them.
DualShock isnt Sony's first analog controller.

You should research a bit more.

Also, I wasn't talking about the Vectrx.

Angry Birds just kicked Mario's ass.
neotechniJul 31, 2011
Mario was the first game I ever played, and as a huge fan of Super Mario World, no. No AB did not.

My money is that, in the end, Apple will own Nintendo. That,
or Microsoft will by them up.
