Chris Dodd and the MPAA can take their demands and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. That is all.
skunkworkFeb 11, 2012
Hey MPAA, do us all a favor and a eat a big fat dick. Stop charging 25-30 bucks for DVDs, lower your damn prices substantially, dump dvd's, go digital, and have consistent pricing 1.99-2.99 max for HD ownership rights, I'm will to even go up to 5.00 bucks in a new release that I can download on iTunes, otherwise, eat a dick.
Help me, help you, help yourself. 30 bucks for a piece is plastic that sits on the shelf and collects dust is exactly why people share movies. And don't call it pirating, we're not selling your property, sharing is not pirating, it's like letting a friend borrow a DVD who didn' buy your movie.
Your entire industry needs a makeover, out with the old, in with the young. You old farts need to go.

If they have asked Bing, Microsoft could probably gave it to them.
mtownFeb 12, 2012
I doubt Bing would have any information on it because nobody uses Bing.

out with the old, in with the young. You old farts need to go.
Can you elaborate on this please, is it old people are evil, or old ways are evil, or ????
nsaneyFeb 12, 2012
I refuse to take anything you said seriously because of the typos! :P

We support you Google. Keep it up.

They made all the movies about the mob, that where they get their tactics from...
whitezombie7689Feb 11, 2012
Now, imagine how this story would have looked if SOPA and PIPA had passed before they attempted it...

I don't even wanna think about what would have happened. But I/we have to in order to prevent such fascist control of our internet from ever happening. I did my part, Demandprogress.org is a great weapon against MPAA and RIAA. As a member we sent numerous petitions signed by hundreds of thousands of concerned people. I also emailed and called my Reps and the White House and voiced my opinion. Keep an eye on DC because this is not over as long as MPAA and RIAA have some of our elected officials in their back pockets.

I wish you luck, I really do, but if history proves anything, the government will do what it wants because people will not stop electing corrupt politicians into office.
mtownFeb 11, 2012
So when shutting down Megaupload did nothing to curb piracy, the MPAA just went, "hmmm, maybe it's our outdated business model that is making people pirate/share? Nahhh, lets just go after Hotfile now!" ?
peppermintpigFeb 11, 2012
Establishing precedent.
sauruanFeb 11, 2012
Tell the MPAA to get lost.
Graf_OrlockFeb 11, 2012
"The deadline for discovery expired last year" Whoops, someone's high-priced attorneys f**ked up on basic civil procedure. What a shame.
blankmikeFeb 10, 2012
Hopefully they'll hold out when the armed goons show up on their door asking a second time.
steve8867Feb 11, 2012
They won't stop until we make them...
justa__free__thinkerFeb 11, 2012
Funny how all the bad, evil downloaders have every little word in any law book used against them to win for the RIAA and MPAA. But when that same lawbook says the MPAA is a year late we are just supposed to ignor the law for the "greater good".
Most people at heart are honest if they don't feel ripped off. Cut DRM and lets us copy what we buy to all the devices we own and you might start seeing your profits go up again.
FrankLuskaFeb 11, 2012
No love for Google here, but screw off MPAA!,
peppermintpigFeb 11, 2012
Yeah, Google has a questionable history on resisting government dictation.
thefirewireFeb 12, 2012
First the MPAA and RIAA alienate their consumers now they are alienating other corporations.
WTF?
