We appreciate the sentiment, but we also think that engadget has enough stories on the front page too.
escapezmatrixSep 7, 2010
Have you tried Reddit? UI aside I like it even better than Digg 3. Thanks Kevin for forcing me to look elsewhere!
endersgameSep 7, 2010
That is how I feel, I made a reddit account a very long time ago but never used it because I couldn't stand the UI. Ever since v4 came out I was forced to switch to reddit and once I found out about the skin that makes reddit look like digg, I discovered the reddit is much better than digg has been in years. Kevin you are a smart guy, how could you let this happen? I really do feel sorry for you, I have stuck by digg over the years despite the power users and shouts. Now I only check on digg now to see how fast the ship is sinking. I have said this over and over, but if you have any hope of salvaging your userbase, go back to v3. It is not rocket science man.
amnesianSep 7, 2010
Lol, then why are you still here?
"New Digg sucks. Boohoo, I'm going to Reddit. Hear that, Kevin, I'm leaving! Bye!..........I'm leaving this comment to tell you I'm done with Digg......I'm gone.......Kevin, I'm commenting on your website to tell you I'm staying on Reddit for good, but I'll still come back to buried comments that pertain to the topics...... "
Jesus... you all sound like clingy girlfriends after a breakup.
bmorekarlSep 7, 2010
Last time I tried Reddit, submitting a story was as fun as doing the zombie shuffle.
earthacisSep 7, 2010
First couple submits on reddit require a captcha then after that, they stop asking you for one.
branton87Sep 7, 2010
Wow. Been going to reddit for the last week or so instead of this v4 s**t hole. This place is f**king dead. The top story doesn't even have 1000 diggs.
akaadamrgSep 8, 2010
Damn peeps, Please check out the Sept. 7 edition of Diggnation podcast. You may be humbled.

Digg is Good Game.

Man, digg is ghost town! I guess this is what happens when you sell out to large news conglomerates at the expense of the users who made the site what it is.
stubearSep 7, 2010
How is this a sellout? The story was submitted by 'freewareguy' who only has 60 followers. Pull your head out already. Digg didn't sell out, it changed the way things work a little. They took the power out of power users.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

F**K DIGG.
davidg11Sep 7, 2010
I wish DIGG were a publicly traded company. Then you'd see a shareholder revolt of the highest magnitude...and people would be canned instantly for this new digg insanity.
shoebox639Sep 7, 2010
lol no you wouldn't. you'd see digg shares skyrocket because of all the revenue they've sold out to.
falserSep 7, 2010
Where did the lame-ass Digg employee one-line comments go? Aw f**k it, RIP Digg.

Today's Labour day in the US. They'll be back in full swing tomorrow.
They won't stay on the payroll for too long though

Stick a fork in it, digg's done. Looks like everyone has migrated.
akula89Sep 7, 2010
i find myself checking in here less and less. at first it was hourly, then 2 times a day, once a day, now im down to once every 2-3 days. soon i will never return. way to go kevin rose.
davidg11Sep 7, 2010
No reason to check. It's the same damn stories on the front page forever. The highest digged stories are now only 300-500 diggs. 700+ are a thing of the past.

What will MIT do for the next? MIT starts to penetrates its reputation.
barneysposseSep 7, 2010
Come to Reddit guys.
I've been an exclusive Digg user for a while now but recently switched to Reddit. There's a ton of good content on there. I just spent half of my day in the AMA section (ask me anything).

How many beans make 5?
elwoodbluesSep 7, 2010
Did anyone else notice that the number of diggs required to get something on the front page suddenly jumped from 30 to 100?
Could it have to do with ebaums world spamming the front page 12 hours ago?
Are all diggs equal, or do certain users get a multiplier?
Why did digg edit the front page? -so much for user voted content.
4degreesSep 7, 2010
BOINC anyone?
jjheathSep 7, 2010
ooof, digg is just dead. guess i'll just not look at user submitted content online. reddit is awful, stumbleupon is terrible as well. ack.
c_calienteSep 7, 2010

bmorekarlSep 7, 2010
I love the comments in the original story.
recruzSep 7, 2010
Ouch man. This sucks. Not just because of the fallout of digg, but think of the jobs that might be lost due to this as well as the economic fallout from advertisers.
