Soccer > American Football. That is all.

Why they need to choose? I love them both. I played them both and I am huge fan of both. And I still find time to love Canadian Football and Hockey.
I don't see the need to closed minded towards any sport.

People that don't argue about sports > people that do

You're not an American until you get into a fight about sports.

FTA: "The court ruling, then, requires Yahoo to act once it’s given evidence of infringement, regardless of whether actual infringement has occurred."
Does that sound idiotic to anyone else?
rusty0101Mar 26, 2011
It requires Yahoo to take action. That's as far as the article goes. It doesn't specify that it requires that Yahoo take the action that the person who provides evidence of infringement wants, just that they take action.
There is nothing in the article stating that they can't respond stating "Thank you for your report of infringement. We will investigate the evidence you have provided and if we can verify that the content you report is infringing, is infringing on your rights, we will take further action as appropriate." with the requirement that they follow through (and don't just drop the e-mail into the bit bucket never to be responded to again.)

No. It just sounds idiotic to idiots. It says that Yahoo has to take action. As in, they must do SOMETHING other tan ignore the take down request whcih seems to be wha they did.
The owners of the movie's copyright ABSOLUTELY have the right to have the official site show up before illegal versions of the movie do. So if they do all the f**king legwork for Yahoo (or Google, or Bing) then yes, those sites should take them down.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

You have the right to have high ranking free publicity at a privately owned business?
Wow, what a sense of entitlement. You're American aren't you.

no...you have the right to not have unauthorized copies not getting precedent. By allowing that to continue after being told about it, yes, Yahoo, or Google, or Bing IS aiding the law breakers.
Don't talk to me about a sense of entitlement when little f**king spoiled baby brats like you feel entitled to be able to own every song or movie you want even though your career does not give you enough money to buy it legally.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

A lot of assumptions there skippy. A lot of aggressive bulls**t. You really need to get a hold on your anger problem before your mom lets you out of the basement.

Its sounds more reasonable than the DMCA. With the DMCA all it takes is a letter - with ZERO evidence - to get an article, picture, movie, etc pulled off a site. Most of the time you don't even have to prove that you are the copyright owner... it's terrible. Hence why the DMCA is broken.

They should have just combined. And they could have made more money.
