You can buy laptops for less than $1500 than can play Black Ops on high settings across the board.

"The price of the Mainline eX-L 15.6 inch laptop will start from $1,579", and will end at around $9,236 (if you want the world's fastest gaming laptop)

i just maxed it out on their website 512gb ssd, 16gb ram, 485m 2gb, i7 2920m@2.5/3.5 total price ~$5,449

Now, lets go to Newegg, build a desktop rig for less than $5,500 and see how it compares to this laptop.
With that much money, you could afforded RAIDed SSDs and a quad-SLI water cooled setup with a swordfish display stand and 6 monitors. No way would I spend that much on a laptop.

Well Cyberpower's Laptops might be better in some way, although the i5 2500k and i7 2600k have been shown to be better than the 6-core 980x in certain games, these altered models in the maingear laptop don't necessarily follow that pattern, however CyberPower's Xplorer X7-Xtreme S2 Notebook can be customized with the i7 980x, 12gb ram(yes it is less than maingear), and also the gtx 485m, but where the big difference is: 1.5TB of SSD goodness with cyberpower. Sure it will run you $8k, but think of it this way: your car costs more, and all that thing does is take you from point A to B.

The only downside is you're buying a Cyberpower...

it's both powerful and expensive laptop
silynJan 28, 2011
Inaccurate. Not the 'fastest' by any means.
OriginPC's got about the fastest one I've seen, you can get dual GTX485's, and a Core i7 980X 3.33GHz

They didn't have the 485's when my friend bought his from origin, he's in the military and wanted a luggable PC to game on and said "I don't care how much it costs"

well I find the Alienware m15x-472CSB 15-Inch to be very good for the price.
