BAE systems is almost finished the testing, and the company is auditioning investment bankers as we speak. It's a chip fabrication technology called POET which uses gallium arsenide as it's semiconductor material. It combines optical and electronic components on a single chip and it can run at 100-400Ghz on a chip the size of half a thumbnail and at 5-10% of the power! It's going to be huge for servers but also small devices like tablets.
