it's losing the 3g connection, not it's entire connection. You can still make calls and browse the web.

That wouldn't be an improvement - the smaller size of the image sensors would make the resulting images awful - like all those 8 megapixel Android phones that take only take pictures that are dull, blurry, and light brown.

Seriously, 3 of the 4 podcasts I listen to regularly did nothing but debate this endlessly in circles for about an hour. It's getting old. We have two iPhone 4s in our house and so far have not been hindered by this "issue" in any way. Does anyone else feel slightly disappointed that the Futurama writers have had to resort to using current affairs as the basis for their plot lines? The old Futurama never did, but a few of the new episodes seem to only be funny because of what's been in the news. Kinda like Family Guy but nowhere near that bad.

I don't think the iPhone thing is super-current since most of the jokes can easily apply to the first iPhone and they were vague enough that most of the jokes will probably apply to any new things that come out. It was very similar to the old futuramas writing IMO.
