Or just don't go at all. Since they send it to you in the mail, it's not legally served.

That's how I deal with parking tickets.

Always great when Digg's armchair lawyers get involved and give such GREAT advice!

I'd imagine that lawmakers are drafting Twitter gags as we speak!

qutepangyNov 19, 2010

Seriously...what do you hope to gain from posting bulls**t on Digg? a few seconds where someone actually cares that you exist?

Why would I want to get out of it? Its very interesting.

And face a possible contempt of court charge.
dralezeroNov 19, 2010
I wouldn't suggest this advice though. How would you like it whenever you're trying to take action against someone who did a crime against you and someone decided to ruin your fair trial bu tweeting on purpose so they could go home and play video games.
alienkidNov 19, 2010
Isn't that where the judge yells "I find you in contempt!" and have you put in jail?
gnixon70Nov 19, 2010
Jury duty isn't all that bad. I mean parking kinda sux, and you end up paying more for parking then you get for serving (Houston area), but once your going through the motions, it's kind of an interesting and educational experience. at least it's always has been for me.
