Regardless of what people say, the iphone rocks and is here to stay, cmon man iphone is iphone, there is no comparison with any other smartphone.
beshirthappySep 27, 2010
I agree. There's pros and cons with any smartphone, of course... but I love my iPhone. But watch all the haters come out now. :-)
amyvernonSep 28, 2010
I love my iPhone, but the battery life is for crap.
ghostkiller001Sep 28, 2010
try android
timmyboy21Sep 28, 2010
i guess i got lucky with mine. i usually only charge it every other day.
sirmasterboySep 28, 2010
The iPhone 4 is actually exceptional battery life. You might have a lemon though. My first iPhone 4 was getting half the life that Apple stated on their website.
I just brought it into the Apple store and they looked at it and gave me a new one on the spot. Battery life is about double what it was and is very close to what Apple states now.
You might want to go get it replaced.
chrisvazquez1Sep 28, 2010
iPhone battery life is crap? Try an iPhone 4. Longest lasting battery on the market. Here's proof: http://thenextweb.com/apple/2010/06/23/battery-life-on-the-iphone-4-lasts-38-hours-on-heavy-use-yes-38-hours/

;) the lg-display efficience is sure not as
developed yet as an amoled's, but I could
live with the stand time, despite being quite
spoiled by my old nokias, with a week or so.

for a gurl it's sure nice :) nifty apps n'all that stuff
what do you like most if I may dare to ask, milady ?

there's no comparison? And with that line, fanboy, you are proven to the world that there is no reason to debate you since you have no desire to have an intelligent, fact based debate on the subject.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

It is and always has been, impossible to have any form of serious discussion with an Apple fanboi. I liken them to creationists when it comes to debating and arguments.
area206Sep 29, 2010
Why won't you have a rational debate with me about the merits of vanilla? You like chocolate ice cream? Really? Your'e just a chocolate "fanboi." You're blind desire to eat chocolate ice cream causes you to resemble a creationist. There is just no talking with you about your stupid, stubborn preferences, so I don't know why I try.
Maybe I should just stop. Maybe I should just give up, get a scoop of vanilla and try not being an assh**e. Maybe I shouldn't go onto Digg and look for articles about chocolate ice cream just so I can call chocolate eaters, "fanboi's" and "creationists" and then complain that they don't want to talk to me about the merits of vanilla and this s**ttiness of chocolate. (Why wouldn't they want to talk to me after that friendly introduction?). Probably, though, I'm just gonna keep doing that. Besides, I feel a lot taller up here on my high horse.
thebigbentleySep 28, 2010
Yeah my Droid x in my opinion is way better than the iPhone. The iPhone is just more generic and appeals to a larger crowd. I wouldn't say that makes it the best. Its the most successful but not the best. The iPhone is going down the same path apple has always gone. They start out number one, get greedy, and start to loose ground. Within 5-10 years it will be 2nd to Android. Mark my words. I'm rarely wrong.
oandaSep 28, 2010
mark your words? your not the first to say this. don't be silly.
Apple doesn't care if its number 2 or number 3. It only cares if its able to make a larger profit than everyone else per unit. Which they do.
area206Sep 29, 2010
Dude, what is wrong with you. thebigbentley just to you that he is rarely wrong. That is very sound and persuasive evidence of his intelligence, and you would be wise to shut up and not disagree with him. Mark my words, dude. My mother tells me I'm a smart boy. Why would she say that if it wasn't true.
lxcidSep 29, 2010
I heard like tons on mp3 player makers tried and fail... and now its all over again...
brianggatesSep 29, 2010
While I own and love my iPhone, I wholly disagree with your statement that there is no comparison with any other smart-phone. There's a healthy amount of competition right now, each with pros and cons for different people.
And that's a damn good thing.
YeriaSep 29, 2010
I agree 100%. No other smartphone manufacturers has a dictatorship regime like Apple and screw around with their customers like Steve Jobs.

chucklingchuckSep 28, 2010

this article is sooooo 2009
TomHanks4Sep 28, 2010
so are most of the comments. iphone is old news, android is the new king. deal with it, fanboys.

You're a poop head.
killer_manbeastSep 28, 2010
Why is "Linux" separate from Palm and Android? Both WebOS and Android use the Linux kernel, many Nokia and Samsung phones do as well. Many statistics put Linux-based phone sales higher then 12%.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

you shouldn't try to bother with facts in yiffer circles. :P
indeed the open-source roots are one of the big pounds.

to say it edged :) it's like democracy vs north korea.
heck - you do not even OWN an iphone after paying.
mrdeadheadSep 28, 2010
grow android grow!
i gotta say i'm happy i made the switch from iphone to the droid. a lot of it's the service, but the thing itself is just a fantastic bit of technology and has kept me happy since i got it.
foxifiednutbarSep 28, 2010
fanboys and their porn-less iphones...
d4nie1Sep 28, 2010
oh you can watch porn on it. trust me.

Nokia scoffs at the US numbers.
sheeplickerSep 28, 2010
Had my iPhone for 7 months and just recently jailbroke it, which makes it even more awesome. SNES and N64 roms FTW!

schneidz101Sep 28, 2010
how can 33 % of the fones in the world be running iphone-os but only 2 % of the market share be iphones ?
it's not like nokia can run ios ?
mrdeadheadSep 28, 2010
ah that's just because it's 33% of only the Smart Phones in the world are running iOS, but of all mobile phones only 2% of them are. it says that only 17% of the phones in the world are smart phones.
starshipSep 28, 2010
i still find it interesting how the comparisons from iPhone - a phone, are being made to Android - an OS. compare iPhone sales to all the different Android phones, break it down that way. show me how it stacks up to the HTC sales or... ya know what, i don't know who the other manufactures are....
Closed AccountSep 29, 2010
htc's main minus is the high radiation output.
tforthSep 28, 2010
Shame the chart has a pretty big error in it. "World Smartphone Market Share by OS" has Symbian at 2% when the real figure is between 35% and 40%. Makes me wonder about the rest of the numbers...
TomHanks4Sep 28, 2010
the whole thing is skewed and outdated. some of the numbers are from last year, before Android surpassed the iPhone in sales per month. other figures are just wrong.
fanboys are going to believe what they want to believe, but all signs point to the iPhone becoming a niche platform, much like the Mac is. Nothing wrong with that, but the iPhone will not be a dominate force in the smartphone market.
