Yeah, Google Wave was AMAZING- they invented Instant Messaging! Lord knows I'd never been able to invite multiple people to a group chat in MSN Messenger prior to Google Wave.
/sarcasm
The only reason Wave generated the interest that it did was that for the longest time nobody knew what it was. Once they did, nobody cared.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Without Wave, what's Lame-o Leo LaPorte going to babble endlessly about?
His iPad, I guess...

I think Wave might be better off as it's own project, Once people start figuring out how to warp it into their own designs, we might see some interesting use cases.
PeteSoderbergSep 3, 2010
im not ready to give up on wave just yet. i see a ton of uses it can still be the backbone for. just hard to get others using it. They are so used to the way of facebook and myspace. Google has a lot of use with wave just not user friendly to todays non power userComment is buried, click here to see the rest.

How is it possible to have TWO identical articles (this is ONE of TWO), on the Front Page?!!!
Closed AccountSep 4, 2010
I opened the comments sections of those two articles in separate tabs. Gave you a digg. Switched to the other comments tab, tried digging you twice and it worked. DiggV4 sucks.

This seems like an error on Digg's part. Although, I wonder what the rss feed from mashabletech to Digg looks like. Does anyone know the URL of this feed?

It's a bug. I'm investigating and fixing now.

OK...I think I see something. What!?!? OMG it's a botnet cyber worm and it penetrated our firewall!
OK, OK, take a deep breath.
RICHID! I'm going to pinch off the syphon tube while you insert the electrodes!

Wow. No offense, but that is a hideous skin for Firefox.

Firefox with no adblock = fail
richidSep 4, 2010Staff
Ok, bug fixed! Thanks for the report.
stanstutteringSep 4, 2010
And thank you, I couldn't have done it without you.

What's your availability? I heard we have some more bugs and I might need some more help!
PhallicObjectSep 4, 2010
They can re-invent it time and time again, I will still not understand it.
In the mean time, talk about Digg [v4] in real time: http://webchat.quakenet.org/?channels=digg [ irc.quakenet.org #digg ]

I saw wave and I had to wait ages to get an invite, and when I got it most of my friends never got the invite I gave them. If they want it to be used then they should have made it easy to get in.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Wave was interesting but unfortunately it would be only really useful if a LOT of people were using it and during the beta that didn't happen.

I would give anything right now to be able to bury this s**tty mashable article.

I used to use wave all the time when it was in preview. I mean, forget IRC or emails or DMs in Twitter, Wave was how we communicated. Then, when it went public, we all stopped using it. I go back once in a while to see if there are any new waves (there aren't!) but now it sits unused in our Google account products list. Pity really.
