jsungjinDec 16, 2010
Can I test with my current windows notebook? I think I have no way to get a Chrome dedicated note-pc.
jsungjinDec 16, 2010
I cann't apply to this program since I'm not living in US as well. Is there anybody who can borrow Chome OS note-pc for me to test it before I buy it later. Currently, I am feeling that the current dominant OS systems should be improved.

oh, That's Gr8
zombiedogDec 8, 2010
Just found out everyone at my company is getting one of these to play with for a year. Not certain I will warm to cloud computing, I have a lot of files on my hard drive and not always around a wifi or 3G signal, but it will be a fun toy to try out. Appears to be functionally similar to an iPad with a keyboard. Prove me wrong Google, I need to be convinced!
cavimikeDec 8, 2010
I clicked on the first image in hope that I could see a larger size. Instead I'm redirected to the page I'm already on. Why?
jsungjinDec 16, 2010
It is funny, isn't it? However, if you see a larger picture, you would be happier than now.
warpfieldDec 8, 2010
Oh gosh, there's no gay Intel Inside sticker or anything. However will I (sob) tell what kind of CPU it has? Oh no oh no oh nooooooooooo
sweet17joanDec 8, 2010
Love gooooooooogle
enantiodromiaDec 8, 2010
While the idea of a "cloud based laptop" thingy is interesting, I am not giving any one company all of my personal information for free.
beccareDec 8, 2010

gPad ... gBook
Closed AccountDec 8, 2010
You don't get what the "i" means, do you? iBook.
jftitanDec 8, 2010
Yeah, but I think the gSpot is a better name for it. WAY better than iSpot...
Closed AccountDec 8, 2010
gSpot... damn, you're right.
jsungjinDec 16, 2010
How did you find out the fantastic word, which is gSopt, much better than iSopt.
kenneth1213Dec 8, 2010
this is just amazing..
jsungjinDec 16, 2010
Why do you think so? In the world, there are a lot of amazing things including this.
webdesignpro160Dec 8, 2010
Whats the Cost+ Shipping ?
gondakkDec 8, 2010
From the article:
"Google's doing a number of little promotions to give away the devices to interested users and businesses which will provide feedback, and it looks like there's no way to actually pay money for one right now."
jsungjinDec 8, 2010
I want to use Chrome OS for my note-pc. Is it possible to use it what my computer in my home~
markusfarkusDec 8, 2010

qwed88Dec 8, 2010
I don't trust the cloud.
kingofshadows92Dec 8, 2010
It doesn't even look impressive. This is Google. It should be blowing everything else out of the water.
atomic1fireDec 8, 2010
It's a pilot program, the laptops could get better as google works on chrome os and as companies release their own laptops/tablets.
I'm just surprised people are more focused on the hardware and not the software,
Chrome web store was just released, and while some of it is underwhelming, it has potential.
It seems to me like this laptop is a beta test, a way to gauge what is good, and what is bad about the hardware and keyboard layout.
darkshroudDec 9, 2010
Considering Google is only #1 at search it isn't surprising this is lackluster.
momsshizzleDec 8, 2010
Ewww! I wasted two hours to download this OS and it looks like Solaris version 1.0!
harrisbradleyDec 8, 2010
Codename CRAB
jmeisingerDec 8, 2010
Google continues to take over the world. Props to Groupon for staying independent.
doublelamaDec 8, 2010
quite possibly the ugliest laptop i've ever seen...
inajeepDec 8, 2010
Looks like they put more design thought into the box rather than the laptop itself. Shouldn't it be transparent aluminum, rounded edges or have cool theme music that plays in the background when ever I behold it?
TomHanks4Dec 8, 2010
theres already another company that caters to people who find things like that important. google tends to focus on function over form.
inajeepDec 8, 2010
Alas, my allusions failed.
everydaysourceDec 8, 2010
Soon we will all be living in the cloud!

Looks like my Toshiba from the 90's
agent22045Dec 10, 2010
The one thing I hate about chrome OS is that without being online it is pretty much useless. I can see this being used in the mobile/netbook world, but there's just no way I see this replacing any OS I'm currently using. The only reason I would ever consider using it is if it came down to Windows 7 Starter vs. Chrome.
rhattan503Dec 17, 2010
Sweet!
eight190Dec 22, 2010
I got my Cr-48 a week a go, development for device is friendly and open. I now us this as my primary machine with the help of my LAMP server :)
