Ever since the first internet-tv-boxes were introduced, I've always been sceptical and never had the desire to try it. But for some reason, this time I feel like it's going to be succesful.
Probably because:
- the system is much more open for both consumers and manifacturers
- The user interface seems to be actually very
- connecting to ALL major (!) video/audio sources you can think of
- over the air updates
- there is such a huge company backing this
No I'm not a Google employee. A fanboy perhaps... I got over-excited about Wave before, so I might be wrong about this too.

Kind of sucks you have to get Dish if you want the DVR built in. But it'll be interesting to see how this goes down.

The whole idea of "channel numbers" is so outdated.
- "turn on the new episode of Chuck"
- "what channel is it on"
- "I think its channel 12"
WTF? Its about time someone brought DNS to TV channels, now we can just search for a topic and it doesn't matter if its TV, netflix, youtube, HBO, or on my media center in the basement.

This will be awesome for new parents just sit the kid in front of the tv with remote and never hear from the kid until he needs money for his online date. Oh by the way when will this be available outside the US?
