The video chat will be useful.
We use Skype exclusively for interbranch calls and Skype is unreliable for multiple user video conferences. It warns that the only reason it allows the multiple connections is because at least one user has Skype credit.
Once you get into the video sessions, it frequently drops one or more users video which is ridiculous on a 30Mb/4Mb cable connection to a full 20Mb/1Mb (right next to ADSL exchange).
Facebook is blocked as it's a non-work related cesspool, so any collaboration there hold no value at all. The mere existence of the tab in Skype is distracting.
(Edit: Skype is unreliable even on a mere 3 users)

No thanks. We're a privately owned manufacturing based family business with 4 owner directors over 5 sites. The sites are mainly autonomous.
We're pretty informal and not very top heavy on the managerial side. We don't need something bureaucratically focused to burn money on. It's just nice to have something more convenient than the plain old telephone or email. Something that works properly at the times it is needed.

I think one thing they've overlooked is effort, when I knock off a long days work I don't want to video chat and have to think of something to say back constantly... I want to jump on bookface and like and comment the hours away, then leave whenever I want
