Most of these seem like minor gripes that can be worked out through beta testing. Above everything else, I hope Google sticks with the black finish and matte screen. Glossy screens need to go the way of the floppy.

WTH guys, this is a piece of crap laptop\netbook, I can do more with an iPhone, no mentioning full fledged Mac, Windows or Ubuntu machine, I don't understand what the hype is for, it is just a browser that you can already run better.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

You can actually type with this.
On the iPhone, you can only do a sort of abomination of pseudo "typing" with that dreadful on-screen keyboard.

I'll feel uncomfortable not being able to go to a desktop of some sort. Until this is on a tablet, I see no point.

the new tab page is the closest thing to a desktop.
that being said, someone should totally work on a desktop style new tab page extension.

I was lucky enough to snag one of these puppy's and I have to tell you, my reactions are mixed. At this moment I am composing this post with my HP laptop and not the CR-48. Why? Because of the dang touch pad. When I put my hand over the keyboard, it covers most of the surface and try as I may, I can't keep from dragging one of my over sized thumbs over the surface of the touch pad. Life would be so much easier if I could turn it off. That is the reason I bought a big 17" laptop, so my fingers would not get in each others way. It's got a girlie keyboard. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
Wrapping your head around the cloud thing is difficult for someone who began batch processing PDP 11-32's, AS400's and other 'Civilized computers.' With that said, I can envision cloud computing in the near future and Google was farsighted in putting their feet into the water of the next big social paradigm. Applications living on the cloud will be difficult to embrace, but just for the sake of security reasons alone (or not), the cloud could present a safer, less damaging experience. Anyone who has cleaned up a friends computer can vouch for that one. Right now the cloud is like having a virtual girlfriend. You can fantasize about it, the vision is gorgeous and the possibilities are there, but when you shake your head and come back to reality, you think aw crap,I was daydreaming. I just keep in mind that the singularity is indeed coming and Google's little toybook may well be remembered as the one that was instrumental in pushing the cloud envelope. Until it happens, I'll just sit here and wait for the singularity.Damn Damn thumbs.

To all the naysayers . this will most likely never reach the market in its current incarnation. Its purely there for beta testers, developers and product development.

In the business world a CAPS lock key is kind of necessary.

I agree with everything.
