Have we shared too much? Yes. Have they taken liberties with our data/privacy? Yes. We are both at fault.

"Flash is used in 70% of internet content, including youtube" is this a joke? There is no way that can be correct...
darkshroudSep 10, 2010
Most video on the web is done with flash. A lot of animations & games on the web are also flash because it's easy to make and it works the same in all browsers and works on all OSs that matter.
itwasonlyajokeSep 10, 2010
Care to explain why you don't think it's correct? It seems abundantly obvious to me.

its the word content.. if they said 70% of internet "video" i would believe it.

Yes I think we have, Between then they know everything. They could probably combine all my information to make some sort of clone to replace me, thats how much they know.

Well, the undated infographic is now out of date as of 9/9/2010 because Apple just removed their restriction that you have to use their tools to develop your non-desktop "app" software. Apple has very good static analyzers for the code produced by those tools so it probably helped immensely their job of catching malicious software before it ever made it out for distribution to the masses.
So, anyway, I think the "3 programming languages" rule is dead.
Fingering Apple as a once tiny startup was bizarre. News flash: all big companies were once tiny startups. Someone ought to take these guys' tray of cliches away.
What is weird and I have to say suspicious is that Microsoft was not included on the list. From reading articles, it seems like more consumer data has slipped through the fingers of industry and government through cracks in Microsoft software than any other type.
Plus, unlike these other companies Microsoft was actually taken to task by the government for playing fast and loose with consumer data/privacy. That is why Passport was suddenly killed off by Microsoft.
So yeah, what the creators in the infographic included vs what they left out makes one very curious.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Ever since Google sided with communism, and has shown that their stance on net neutrality applies when it suits them I have been moving my email communication over to another system. All 3 of these companies are, or have gone evil.

"For the free service that you are given, you are entitled to a full refund whenever you want."
That was some wise words by a Microsoft Evangelist.

Even still, why is communism a evil thing? The principle ideas of communism is that everyone gets an entirely fair share, removing all essence of classes. In the Internet, this is probably what I'd call 'Net Neutrality'.
It's probably also why they release so much software under open source - i.e. everyone gets a fair share.
However, I believe their compromise with wireless net neutrality occurs because they knew Verizon was not going to budge. The carriers rule the tubes atm. Eventually, when there's an open standard for all wireless communications, net neutrality will reign once more.
Google have been trying to get wireless into the world as much as possible. They gave free wifi around the entire town of Mountain View, as an experiment to see how much it would cost, and the engineering required.
Anyway, I've said what I felt like I had to.
