android is best till now

IMHO the reason why iOS is easily monetized comes from its customer base. iOS has an audience that cares about Apple and the products Apple makes.
Apple opened with the paradigm of selling apps. New company in the phone space makes it easy to train new customers on the use.
The Android OS has an audience that cares about openness, not the myriad of phone manufacturers that produce android OS based phones.
Also, the person who buys a phone from a non Apple manufacturer has never purchased apps before on their phone. If you bought a Samsung the same year Apples iPhone came out you were NOT buy apps on your phone.
I think it comes down to 2 word, Loyalty, and Customer expectation. Apple has a loyal customer base, and they trained their users to buy apps from the start. Other vendors don't have the kind of loyalty base Apple does, and they have to train a new behavior into customers that are not as loyal, and therefor less likely to change without strong reason.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

I don't think anyone really "cares" about Apple - just the image it portrays. Stop trying to over analyze this subject.

Well there is a warm welcome...
Just my opinion... and there are many creative people who care about about Apple and what Apple does...
It's clear that Android is not profitable to its developers for a reason... I offered 2.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

I don't think this is an Apple or Android argument more than it's a discussion on the best way to deliver apps to people. Apple took it's own approach and Google tried something different. It didn't work out exactly right so they are tweaking it. Nothing wrong with that. Nothing says that the Apple way of life works for everyone either (Palm Pre). I think the best thing is just that Google is listening to developers and customers.
Ultimately OS's won't matter so much. In fact, they will probably get lighter and lighter as apps get more complex. Sure, you might buy an iOS or Android device, but what will sell you on that aren't so much the features of the OS, but the apps you can get.

Get rid of the damn 15 minute return window and put it back to 24 hours. I used to buy Android apps. A few I returned either because they sucked or didn't do what they were supposed to do. Now, its just too fast to actually test the app before you decide to keep it.
Frankly, I pirate the app first and if I like it, I buy it.

i agree the 15 minute thing sucks. it would be nice if devs could set their own time limit, since different time limits for different types of apps makes sense. there are some large apps like X plane or sims 3 that can take longer than 15 minutes just to download and install, or others that you need a day or two to really know if they are right for you. if each app could set it's own refund time, devs and users could be happy.
