Uhm removed for the US cities... still peddling TnA in Canada!
You don't think these women will find some other web site to do business?

f**k censorship. And f**k this nanny state mentality that wants to enforce what you can do with your own body!

Thank the Democrats.

There are way too many victims of sex trafficking on that site no matter which section the ads are posted on .... I keep on hearing Freedom of Speech , but somehow i doubt the first amendment was intended to support human trafficking
ragecloakSep 4, 2010
More government regulating morality and it sets another in a long line of dangerous precedents. With the government's new anti-piracy initiative, how long until digg and other similar websites get a big CENSORED slapped across them because they discuss piracy or other illegal activity?
pw378Sep 4, 2010
Regulating morality is the strongest precedent in law. All laws are intended to regulate morality - whether it be about killing, stealing, child support, spouse abuse, assault, rape, etc... Laws are intended to regulate morality so your point is... stupid.
ragecloakSep 5, 2010
You're comparing apples to oranges. Killing, stealing, rape, assault, etc are all violent actions against someone who does not consent. Everyone in the adult section were consenting individuals doing no harm to each other (in most instances at least).
dangquesadillaSep 4, 2010
Let's all remember why the "adult" section originated in the first place! It was because adult services were being advertised in areas like the "therapeutic" (massage) section and customers were confusing erotic services with non-erotic services. Craigslist *reluctantly* added the adult section just simply to keep the other sections legitimate. Now the original problem has been recreated. Thanks for nothing!

US Government: We create unintended consequences! (TM)
kroobepSep 22, 2010
Agreed...the problem is not that there was an adult ads section, the problem is that there is no control.....there are way too many victims of sex trafficking on that site no matter which section the ads are posted on .... I keep on hearing Freedom of Speech , but somehow i doubt the first amendment was intended to support human trafficking

hmm the problem is not girls selling them self's for money?
you got to be kidding if you really think many of them where human trafficking most all the girls where ready and willing to do that and still do it just not using that site and did before it. the issue is with them and there childhood.

How did I possibly miss this on the Top News list?!? HOW!!!
By the way, just check the therapeutic services in the same section. They don't call it the oldest profession on Earth for nothing :)
babywookieSep 8, 2010
So, any one know what's another good site for finding "escorts" now?
kroobepSep 22, 2010
About time , though now the same ads can be found under "casual encounters"..... The problem is not whether it is ok to have such ads or not....the problem is that there needs to be some control that the girls on such ads are not victims of human trafficking which plenty of them are. It is far from being isolated incidents ( i dont like the term incident , I am sure the victims of such crimes would agree)....Craigslist has still so much more to do....

people should not buy sex when they can get it free!! ever been to college? lol.. i use adult personals site http://www.facebookofsexusa.com/ adults looking for other adults for adult times everyone at the dating sites know what they are there for. i think people selling them self's for sex more and more is just sign of the times but for those of us that want sex with out getting married and are not getting laid use adult personal sites it makes it really easy. like facebook makes it of keeping track of your friends.
dishman001Oct 1, 2010
Bad news for Craigslist users who like to peruse the Erotic Services Adult Services section of their site. Its gone, replaced by a large black and white censored logo
it is almost like they did this to make users mad and say censored !!!
