I'm hoping to see some serious improvements since the Alpha release. I'm excited for new innovations and improvements to Digg, but I don't want to see any features we already have available & gotten used to just "go away" to improve UI or whatever.
Digg works great right now, so don't completely revamp but improve on what the app does well.

Digg v4 looks a lot like a Facebook/twitter combo which may or may not be a good thing.

Does look a lot like Facebook. Why didn't they come up with a better more original design?
rileywiebeJul 23, 2010
Even though its 3 Columned and has a blue bar, it looks far better than Facebook. This design works well, its clean and everything is set up nice. What would you suggest they change? Because I think the design is excellent.

I can't seem to find the page where I follow more people/websites for my "My News". Is it just me?
gigasoftJul 23, 2010
yep, it's still there..

The "Find Profiles" on the left side?
It probably isn't on "Top News" because that section doesn't have to do with the people your following. But it is in the left column on "My News"

As a software developer, getting a technical overview of the digg testing and deployment lifecycle is very cool. Thanks!

My major gripe at the moment is "sponsored" stories that are appearing. Does Digg really need them?
rileywiebeJul 23, 2010
Well, they need to make money some how...
segdehaJul 23, 2010
Not only do we need them, we need you to click on them! :-)

I'm going to implement some of these practices for my visualization research team next semester. Great insight.
