gigaom.com — HTC reported weak fourth quarter results and forecast an even tougher first quarter as competition from Apple and Samsung squeezed the Taiwanese smartphone maker. HTC said it was expecting first quarter revenue of between 65 billion and 70 billion Taiwanese dollars, well below analyst expectations.

Not sure of the point of this article assuming it is factual. HTC made lots of money on Android...Expect to make less money next quarter while their product lines are refreshed. Apple have done well because theirs have been, and Samsung is just doing fantastic. Its had massive success on its Galaxy Line...and that likely to continue with the Samsung Galaxy III

I've had my HTC incredible for about a year and I love it. No complaints here.

Up till now, HTC has made the best Android phones thanks to Sense being so much cleaner than the standard Android interface IMHO. Now that Ice Cream Sandwich has implemented many of the things that made Sense stand out, HTC is gonna have their work cut out for them. I've always been an HTC (and Sense) fan, but if I was buying a new phone today, I would buy the Galaxy Nexus. ICS FTW.

I'd like an HTC phone if having Sense on it was an option
not to say I like touchwiz on my samsung phone by any means, but it doesn't feel nearly as intrusive as Sense does on my girlfriend's phone

I feel like a lot of these phone companies need to take their time to produce a product. Their products have a lot of good features and yet every smartphone I have had has a number of glitches. Rather than cranking a phone out every three months it would be interesting to see what they could produce if they took six months or even a year

I've owned two HTC phones over the past three and a half years. Both phones started off great but as time went on within six months they were both pieces of crap...dropped calls, wouldn't ring, sleep of death, etc. I didn't load many programs nor did I try alternate ROMs or anything else, I just tried to use the phones for texting, phone calls and e-mails.
I'm on a Samsung Captivate now (mostly because I want a full keyboard) and it seems pretty good so far. I hope it stays that way.
