Allow me to clarify, which isn't going to matter because Apple haters are going to bury my comment regardless of the fact that I'm typing this on a 5 year old Toshiba laptop. Apple first passed IBM in market cap in 2007, for a brief period at the end of '08, beginning of '09, they were neck and neck again, but since then, Apple hasn't looked back.

At this point only Exxon ($337B) and PetroChina ($304B) are bigger than Apple ($286B).

What the f**k does that mean? The biggest company in the world in terms of market share? What market? How is that the same market as Exxon Mobil or all of Microsofts markets? How can a company be "big" in terms of market share?

Apple was once a startup compared to IBM in the 80s. It's a testament to Jobs' will power. And they achieved this without even being the big player in the PC business. Once the Mac business really takes off, the sky is the limit.

AAPL is worth 108 Billion more than IBM and 65 Billion more than Microsoft based on market capitalization! Also, based on market capitalization GOOG is almost worth more than Microsoft, GOOG trails by 24 Billion but should pass Microsoft soon!

You have misunderstood.
Outback does not necessarily make more profit than IHOP just because they charge more. Profit is the difference between what it costs to produce and what you charge. A high end company may make less profit than a bargain outlet simply because their products cost more to produce.
When a company makes massive profits, they are charging a massive amount over their costs. Simple as that. It has nothing to do with the quality or lack or quality of their product.
